It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve really enjoyed my 2021 F350 Tremor. My p/up is Star White. If you have seen Star White in-person, you should, as pics do not do it justice. The metallic flake in it is nice. My camera can’t seem to adequately capture it...anyway, I started my build by installing a Ranch Hand grille guard. The Ranch Hand is black, naturally, and I think it goes well with the Black Appearance Package. When I built (ordered) the truck, I really wanted 2-tone paint, but couldn’t order 2-tone with the Black Appearance Pkg.
Here is what I want(ed) the paint to look like:

A Chevy/GMC dealership is doing my body (paint) work for me. They do excellent work. Thing is, I didn’t fully comprehend just how extensive the dismantle job would be. I knew both bumpers would have to come off, in order to paint them, but I didn’t realize the bed would come off, altogether... Also, all of the doors have been completely stripped-down and the windows removed. Compared to other vehicles (and even earlier style Super Duties), it’s quite incredible how much the doors of the truck “wrap-inward” at the bottom. Have you taken a good look at this on your truck? Of course I’ve looked at my doors, but I’ll admit I didn’t fully comprehend just how much they “wrap” at the bottom(s)....even the paint guys mentioned this (especially compared to GMC).
Here’s some pics from this morning:
Needless to say, this is going to set me back a little more than the $470 it costs (from the factory) for 2-tone. ?
Anyway, this has been my plan from the start and I’m happy that it’s happening, now! ?
The head of the body shop and I went back & forth on whether or not to paint-match the Ranch Hand. After lots of studying on it, I (we) decided to leave the grille guard black. Either option would look nice, I believe, but I think it’ll look a bit nicer remaining black, considering the Black Appearance Pkg.
If y’all would like, I can post some “after” pics, similar to the “before” pics, above.
God bless,
