After cleaning up from the 15" of snow that we got last night I had to run some errands for my wife this afternoon and I was curious about how my truck would deal with very crappy roads. I was very impressed because I never even used 4WD and the roads sucked ass. The truck only broke loose once in the 45 mins I was out there today. Color me impressed ??

if you've never had 4wd before don't fall into the trap of thinking it's invincible in the snow.

When I lived back east, whenever I saw vehicles that spun off the road into the grass, it was almost always 4x4 trucks and suvs.

about 6 years ago I was driving from MA to ME to my parents' house for thanksgiving and it was really nasty out with one of those heavy wet snowstorms. I was in my Frontier Pro-4X going about 45 on I-95 and getting passed constantly by other trucks and SUVs. I almost ate it when I hit some icy heavy snow ruts but was able to maintain control....but my truck was completely sideways at one point lol. I probably saw 15 vehicles spun off into the median on that trip and a bunch of them were vehicles that were passing me not long before.

But yeah, bombing around in the fresh snow is a blast! The best is if you need to run to the store or something and haven't cleared the giant snowbank at the end of your driveway yet and you can just blast through it like a hot knife through butter.

We didn’t get that much but rear broke loose a few times. 4wd helped as did slippery mode.
Rear tires down to 50

Reminds me of a time when I was much younger driving a 1/2 ton plowing snow in a parking lot.
The snow pile I plowed a week before had iced over so I was trying to make room. I thought "as long as you hit it fast enough it's gonna move".
I ended up with all four wheels off the ground stuck on top of a snow bank.. :ROFLMAO:
Until then I thought 4L would get me out of anything

I moved from Boston to southern Commiefornia 2 years ago and I really miss the snow....seasons in general. Most of the year I love the weather here (about the only thing I like about this state) but even so after a while sunny clear blue skies every single day actually starts to get really old. Then we get a little bit of rain and people drive as if they got a foot of snow

This is interesting. On a truck forum. With big displacement Diesel and Gasoline engines. Are we all in agreement that global warming sucks but unsure if our own desires over our lifetimes have been contributing to it?

Just stirring the pot... This forum is too harmonious. We need more severity.

I hear that, moved from Beverly MA to Washington, they don't know weather on this side of the mountains. Never forget the wicked rain on the east coast.

We got a foot in north western VA but didn't get to play......spent all day pushing with the 4wheeler, still fun though.

Sorry to stir it back at you. There has been some info contradictory to global warming. Now I do believe there is global warming but there’s an argument to say otherwise. So I’m open to hearing that side. I’m that dude Patric to argue the other side of the coin. What can I say. It’s me. Yeah I ordered a diesel. So I’m a a diesel dude now.

no, because global warming is a tax grab hoax.

This is still too harmonious. I hear your guys point, but I’m not seeing the rage. It’s just not there. Try again.

It is a tax grab.......yes the earth might be warming but it has gone through the ups and downs for thousands of years way before engines and pollution were around. Now I'm not saying we should put whatever we want in the air, or dump in the ground/water......but it is more political than anything.

Nice photo. Whats everyone recommend for a 350 Diesel tire pressure in the winter. Daily driving.

Just so y'all know .. here in Florida, I put on long pants today. For reasons I don't understand, they seem tighter than I remember them last year .. ..
