Hey all from San Diego!

Currently in a '17 Tundra Double Cab. Wife and I had our first child 2 weeks ago, and with him and the dog and wanting some more payload for our camping gear we're going to be upgrading to a new truck!

I've never owned a domestic vehicle before, so with a bit of apprehension about reliability, Monday I'll be finalizing a deal using X-Plan for a '22 Tremor. Specs are:

F250 Crew Cab 6-3/4' bed, Tremor 7.3L
Iconic Silver, Black Leather Interior with center console
Black Appearance Pkg
Lariat Value Pkg
Dual Battery - Assuming it's possible, I want to add an isolator to the second battery so I can run a fridge and not worry about the starter battery.
Upfitter Switches - Immediately plan to add @Baja Designs dual FPK's and S2's in the rear. Also will add an ARB twin compressor.
Garage Door Opener - (Hilarious to me you need to pay to add a garage door opener to a $60k+ rig)
F&R Mud Flaps - (Same as above)

Weather Tech mud flaps I think are stronger and better looking.

Congrats! Very similar situation. Currently driving a 2014 Tundra Double Cab which is the latest in a series of Toyota pickups for us. Great trucks but we tow a travel trailer and all the associated camping gear several times a year. The payload limitations of the Tundra are something we have wrestled with for years. The concern over long term reliability combined with the cost of moving to a SD have been the primary hold up for us.

Placed an order for a MY22 F250 Crew Cab 7.3 Tremor on 04/23. I know we’re in for a long wait but looking forward to delivery day and increased payload with a significant reduction in the white knuckled towing experiences.

Welcome to the forum @cs0430 - congrats on baby and the future Tremor order. You'll love the extra room in the backseats compared to the Tundra. However, you might miss the turning radius of the Tundra. Overall it should be an awesome upgrade for you!

Get you some husky x-act mats for inside your cab. Assuming you didn’t go with the carpet delete.

Definitely will be adding some mats. I've owned weathertech's or x-act mats in my last few vehicles, they are awesome!

Can you not run the x - act mats with the carpet delete?

ORDERED! Let the wait (and buying of parts to put on it) begin.

To each their own. I have owned both. Weather tech are basically hard plastic to me.

I've been debating jumping on a 2021, the few that are around vs waiting for the 2022. What are they telling you the approx delivery time would be?

My dealer said they haven’t received their allocations for June yet. If they get June allocations then I could anticipate a September/October delivery date.
