2021 6.7L F350 Tremor (Ordered)
I have driven a 2021 F350 6.7L FX4 and the ride is actually pretty damn good. However, I am now leaning towards a Tremor F350 with the 6.7L. After searching the forum and google i am finding very limited and sometimes conflicting reviews of the Tremor ride vs the FX4 or general 4x4. Many say the Tremor rides better than the 4x4/FX4, some says its the same, and I just saw a youtube video where the guy said the Tremor was rougher. I know opinions are like ***holes, but figured I would ask here directly to see if anyone has come from a 2020 FX4 / 4x4 to a 2020 or 2021 Tremor, and can give me some solid feedback on the ride comparison. Also, I am in the process of trying to set up a test drive of a 350 Tremor, but not sure it will happen as the unit is sold. Thanks in advance!

I have both and the tremor rides slightly smoother.

Tremor if it’s going to be a daily driver.

My fx4 road smooth but I can see the tremor being a better ride just because you get 18 by 35 tires so your getting more rubber softer ride fx4 is 20 inch wheel

Its definitely going to be a daily driver. I also have a 1.5 mile long dirt road for a driveway. So while i do a lot of expressway driving, it will see quite a but of dirt roads.

Yeah this crossed my mind as well and i agree.

One warning if going Tremor... the Duratracs are rock grabbers and chuckers. I have a long gravel driveway and I hear rocks tinging off my running boards every time I hit the pavement. It’s not that big of an issue to me personally, but I thought I’d throw it out there.

Good to know! It will have deployables. So they will likely look like crap after a while. Might have to add the flaps.

Either way you can't go wrong. I prefer the Tremor. The tires need 500 or so miles to settle in. I like them but others don't. If your more of a street driver and less possibility of off road the other truck makes sense. Or if your going full Mod then it is tough to pay the Tremor uncharge and toss all the parts aside for wheels/tires lift kits shocks...... My 350 Tremor will remain stock until something breaks out of warranty.

The order time for either should not matter as the Tremor is just an option for a SUPERDUTY. Make sure the dealership has a super duty allocation before placing an order with them. Most dealerships do but if they do not it will cause a very long delay for you.

by the way we love the ride of our Tremor.

It will remain stock. I have a cabin we spend a lot of time at (nearly every weekend) and it’s virtually all dirt roads. With that said there is a solid 3 hours of expressway driving to get there. I would not be modifying anything on the tremor but if we went with an FX4 a set of BFG or Similar tire would be going on. If the tremor has a better ride it just doesn’t make sense to me to buy an FX4 or base 4x4 to then immediately change the tires.

Yep there are many types of Mud flaps available that are no drill so you can add them for some protection on the back roads.

I do like the BFG tires have them on my Raptor. The duratracs will clean out mud better but the BFGs are better on wet pavement

I was considering a raptor, but the tractor and trailer is way too much for a raptor. The Tremor seems like a decent balance that I can tow and haul what i need to but will get around on trails if called upon.

I don't think they offer the Raptor right now so you would need to get a used one. My Raptor has pretty limited towing and with the short wheel base with a small trailer it is a very rough ride. Raptors are the real deal off road. Its really a very different truck than a Tremor. I honestly like my Tremor better. It's a better towing truck has a usable bed, mileage is almost double. Tremors are the shit!

Thanks for the help! I think the tremor is the right setup for me.

I agree make sure you air down the Tremor tires to 60-65 for everyday driving. really helps smooth out the ride.

Forscan adjustment so idiot light does come on!!!!!!

I vote for the Tremor if your not going to change out wheels, tires, and suspension. If you plan to, then get the FX4 and save the $4k. BTW, the Tremor comes a few other goodies listed in the brochure for off-roading. Good luck
