Hello, thank you for the add. Been visiting around here for a little bit. Excited to add the 2022 Tremor. Look forward to participating. Been an interesting truck purchase journey. Had a dealer decline to sell me a truck because I don’t have a trade in. Just helped push me to order the 2022. Can’t wait to post some pics, should look close to the attached stock image from Ford.

Declined your order because you don't have a trade in? Sounds like another dealer who needs to go out of business to me. Sorry, I read so many posts about crooked dealers that it makes me sick. Granted, there are plenty of reputable dealers out there and the moment I ran into this kind of crap from a sales person, I would ask for the sales manager. If the sales manager replied with the same line of crap, guess what, they don't need me at their dealership.

I am happy (and proud) to say that my dealership Hilbish Ford in Kannapolis, NC doesn't play any of this crap. They have been honest, upfront, and as transparent as they can be with me over the last 10 years that I have lived in NC. I highly recommend them, specifically Charlie Brown, he is as honest as they come!

Have encountered a few garbage dealers during my search (Ford, GM, and Toyota) with trade requirements, $5k "market adjustments", not accepting a/z/x plans, etc... Last Ford dealer I called for a '21 XLT before I made the decision to order a Lariat Tremor tried to tell me the paint protection they push on you during financing was already complete and that I owed another $800 @ signing. That was the last straw and I ended up finding a reputable dealer to order from. Congrats on your order and welcome!

Yeah it was in Austin, I was shocked. Found another dealer in Texas that is working with me. Not the xplan but percentage off MSRP. I’ll keep them in mind! ?

Shocked there are so many dealers playing these games right now. Those ‘21 F-250’s seem like they are not too far off to flooding the market. Who knows, just moved on and found one that would appreciate my business. My local Ford is junk, and to be honest, most of these interactions are one time Negotiations. In the end it all worked out. ?

Ordering, especially in today's climate is a fun/crazy/exciting/frustrating dynamic. We are here to help you through the process. You'll feel like a kid waiting on Santa, only you have no Idea the time frame. Don't worry, you'll survive and be so excited when it finally arrives.

And in the mean time you can learn about all the mods and accessories to spend too much money on in anticipation of arrival day. PS- don't tell your other half. ?? Welcome to the Tremor family! ? ?

Thanks! Can’t wait! Think my first MOD will be adding a winch. My other half is working on finding a Wrangler, so we are no strangers to the understanding of our “investments”. ?

Welcome and congrats!

Since you are getting a Lariat (based on the black appearance package), make sure you are getting option 60W! It’s the heated steering wheel. And rain sensing windshield wipers but no one cares about those. ;)

Doesn’t show up in the online builder, but the order guide has it and the dealer is able to add it

Yes! Thanks for the info.

If you are planning on adding the winch later, you will need the dual battery/397amp battery option. These items are quite difficult to add post manufacturing.

Welcome to the waiting club. I am still on the fence of whether I like my dealer or not. They were better then most that I dealt with trying to find a '21 but not completely sold on them. They are also an hour drive away so long term that probably isn't going to work out, other then that they are only 20 mins of the inlays (granted that may or may not be a negative for the dealer ??)

it.

Did any of you folks get the factory winch? Curious if it was worth it?

That is about where I drew the line on my order. Really wanted one but decided it wasn't needed. Also seemed like something that isn't too hard to add later if I decide I really need it.

I have it on my order. And something to keep in mind with my thoughts: this will be my first winch so take them with an appropriate grain of salt. :)

Haven't received my truck so I can't comment on whether it was worth it yet, but some things to consider compared to an aftermarket bumper and winch (and things I'm considering that may result in me deciding to remove it from my order):
  • The winch is non-standard. If you ever want to replace the winch, you have to get the replacement from Ford. With aftermarket winch mounts they almost all support a universal mounting pattern enabling a multitude of options (many brands and many capacities).
  • The winch is buried in the bumper with limited access. This inherently makes winch maintenance more difficult, whether that's fixing the spooling, replacing the rope, messing with the solenoid, or anything else.
  • The winch rope is a non-standard (short) length with essentially no room for extra length. Extensions are a thing and preferred over a longer main rope anyways (the less rope on the drum the more pulling power), but if you want to buy a replacement rope other than from Ford/Warn expect to have to shorten it yourself to fit.
Of course there's tons of benefits, too - including cost! By the time you invest in an aftermarket winch bumper and winch you're likely spending more than $3000, especially if you're paying for install. But those are some things I hadn't fully considered when I added it to my order.

All those are good points. I’ve installed a couple of winches. Looks like you would obviously have to drop the bumper…sure there is some info on the site somewhere….all those reasons about the length being shorter makes me glad I didn’t. Learning from the winch experience in my old jeep, I like the length. Never know when you may need that little extra bit.
I mean, obviously the winch is for pulling all the dodges and chevys out right? You wont actually need it for the tremor. ?

Yep, bumper has to be dropped. Here's the main thread on the winch install, though there's other ones kicking around of course: https://www.fordtremor.com/threads/winch-install.1611/

The winch rope length is 70 feet. So not ridiculously short, but seems the standard "short" length is 80 feet and regular length is 100 feet. Regardless of whether I go with the factory winch or aftermarket I intend on carrying a 50 foot extension which I hope will never leave me wanting/stranded.
