No paperwork for new order

On June 10th I went to my local dealer and placed a $500 deposit to order my 2022 tremor. The salesman didn’t give me any paperwork. He had me sign the build sheet and said Ford would email me with updates. I am suppose to get x plan pricing but he couldn’t tell me the exact number “until order is finalized”. Does this sound right? Seems weird to have no paperwork or order confirmation after 3 weeks.

Don't worry about not receiving the email confirmation from Ford, I didn't get one either and won't most likely. That email doesn't mean much anyways.

However, I would ask your dealer for the DORA pdf of the order. It should say on the bottom: "ORDER NO. XXXX has been added to the order bank"

This is how mine played out, it took around 3 weeks for my order confirmation to come through. Its longer now so just be patient and keep asking them.

That doesn’t line up with my experience. I did it all over email, but I got an order sheet listing the exact price - both MSRP and X-Plan.

As for the email updates from Ford, if the dealer attaches your email address to the order when they submit it you will get an email from Ford confirming the order pretty quickly (within a day). From there you will get some coarse updates.

If your email wasn’t attached then obviously you won’t get email updates.

I ordered on 5/24 and had a similar experience in regards to the X plan pricing. My salesman told me the same thing and “not to worry.” I told him I hoped that was the case because if it wasn’t then I’d be requesting my deposit back. I did however receive my order confirmation from Ford a few hours after I left the dealer.
