2022 6.7 Lariat Tremor
Ready to move on from my Tundra and ready to move into a Tremor. I've got questions on both the options I want and the process of ordering (timeline and getting the best price). So let me start with the options.

Plan now is a Stone Gray Lariat 6.7, with Ultimate Pkg
Major Adds:
LED lights
Moon Roof

1. I want to be sure I have 360 cameras. Is that standard (or part of Ultimate) or do I get that through a tow package? Looks like I automatically end up with the F-250 Trailer Tow Package - High Capacity. But do I need to add "F-250 Trailer Tow High Capacity with Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System and Pro Trailer Backup Assist Package" or the "Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System with Pro Trailer Backup Assist™". Ultimately I don't need extra backup help, but really want the 360 cameras (love it on my wife's Volvo). The extra $ sucks, but 360 cameras are worth it.

2. I want all the bells and whistles when it comes to safety - so is the "Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Forward Collision Warning" the best of the safety packages? I see "Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support" but adding it remove the Pre-Collision Assist and AEB. Is the "Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support" just the same as the Pre-Collision with the addition of an adaptive function?

3. I eventually want to have a slide in camper, should I opt for the Camper Pkg now? It doesn't seem to want to let me have a Tremor and Camper. Can I get a slide in camper cert later?

4. Carpet delete. I have dogs and filthy kids. Even with floor mats I am always pulling wire hair and mashed M&Ms out of the carpet. Is it louder without carpet?

Now to ordering. We've ordered multiple Volvo's over the years. So we are used to ordering to get exactly what we want. I know the chip shortage is hard to predict, but do I just talk to individual dealer to understand what they know of the current wait time?

We are Costco members, I am a city employee, my best friends Brother-I-L is a VP at ford (and says we could get an x-Plan). My other close friend's uncle owns a Ford dealership. But then I have also seen some great dealers on this forum with good prices. Do I just shop everyone against everyone? Send them my Build Summary off Ford.com and ask them best price? I'm fine to sell my own used car and could secure my own lender if needed.

I am open to buying any time. I am at 190k on the Tundra and it's smooth like butter. So not in a rush. I can wait out the chip shortage (well, to a point, I want something new for next summer family trips). I assume we don't expect incentives to come back anytime soon. Sad I didn't buy a 2021 back when I could get a 76k truck for 69k.

Welcome! Just a quick thought for ya… if you’re interested in a camper some day, ordering a 350 will give you some extra payload on the sticker. (Physically the trucks are the same if they are both Tremor packages, but the “sticker” on the 350 will make it more likely that you are carrying a legal payload on the public roads.)

You need the Ultra Trailer Tow w/ Pro Trailer Backup Assist package to get the 360º cameras.

2. Is the "Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support" just the same as the Pre-Collision with the addition of an adaptive function?

Yes. I was confused by Ford's wording as well when I placed my order.

4. Carpet delete. Is it louder without carpet?

No, it's not louder.

Welcome!

Major Added Options:

LED lights - Check - good option
Twin Panel Moonroof - nice, but has potential, maybe even propensity to develop issues and problems. Search for threads here...think under Tremor Exterior Modifications or something closely related. I had this option on my 2022 F350 Lariat 7.3L Tremor order, but for several reasons (tracking issues; potential for leaks; maintenance with cleaning, track lubrication, rubber seals; glass absorbs heat and possible breakage, etc.) so, I contacted the dealer to remove it. I have read several Lariat, KR and Platinum special orders made without this option.

You might want to consider the Upfitter (Auxiliary) switches - $165 and more AMPS on alternator.

1. Think you have that all correct. I was not in a F250 TTHC situation, but I did want the UTTCS...but, without the PTBA. The UTTCS is no longer available as a $720 "stand alone" option like it was when I purchased a 2019 Super Duty. I Don't need a $935 knob to back up to a trailer. But if you want all of the cameras (UTTCS), you have to buy it with the UTTCS / PTBA combo at a cost of $1655 or the cameras come with the F250 TTHC for an additional $2785.

2. The wording used by Ford is confusing. Think BroncoHooves answered your question correctly. If not, I am sure someone else will catch it and give you the correct information.

3. Camper cert (certificate) later? I have never had a camper. Not sure what that is. However, the following information might be helpful. Check out the Carli Suspension website and look at the Carli Progressive Add-A-Pack Rear Leaf Springs. Air Bags also help with rear suspension drop and squat. Look at Air Lift bags...also Firestone and Hellwig. If you purchase air bags, a great option to have is the Daystar polyurethane air bag cradles.

4. Floor Covering - Carper Delete (lariat) vs Floor Covering - Vinyl (King Ranch and Platinum). In years past, on "Ford Build & Price".....the word PREMIUM was used to describe this option for King Ranch and Platinum. In addition, the cost for this option on Lariat trim is $50 vs King Ranch and Platinum cost of $115. I suspect, the material on the King Ranch and Platinum is a slightly better grade. If so, Ford should rethink this and offer the same material on Lariat trucks.

The Lariat is a $50 credit, and is the same quality of vinyl material as the KR and Platinum.

The extra cost of the KR and Platinum is because it comes with two sets of mats; Lariat has no mats.

Should be a great build !
I am 100% in favor of the sun roof but there are many here who are not. You should consider what they say. My truck is stored inside all the time.

the cameras are awesome

I have one truck with the carpet delete, It looks very finished not like the carpet delete of 10 years ago on a work truck. It's acceptable for a high end truck.

hopefully the Costco thing will work out for you.

Don't sell off the old truck till the new one come in!

enjoy and post your photos on delivery day

These trucks have both mat and flooring options. I could be wrong, but think the KR and Platinum come with two sets of mats (set of carpet mats and set of rubber mats) when the optional rubber mats are selected...with Lariat, the carpet mats are not included with the optional rubber mats.

So, on Lariat with carpet delete option...no mats are included? Are you stating the KR and Platinum would come with two sets of mats with the vinyl floor option? I can understand the answer being 'yes' .....no mats on Lariat carpet delete option, but find it strange that KR and Platinum would come with two sets of mats (two sets of rubber mats?) with the vinyl floor option.

The latter portion is correct, you don't automatically get any mats with the Lariat carpet delete.

The KR and Platinum do come with both rubber and carpet mats when the vinyl floor option is selected. :) Neither of those included mats appeal to me. Another reason I went with Lariat.

So on the truck builder, when you are looking at the interior, there is the folding under seat storage. Then when you opt for the carpet delete, it disappears. I know on the F150 it is an add on to get that storage box. does it actually go away with carpet delete? I'm sure it isn't the best storage, but if it keeps kids stuff out from under the seat, that is a win.

I broke the news to the wife last night. The price caught her off guard, but we had last talked about it 8mo ago when I could get a $75k truck with incentives down to $69k. So telling her $75-78 was a bit of a shock. I will say I am am disappointed with how you have to add so many bells and whistles to get the small number of things you actually want. I really just want vented seats, and LED headlights and that ends up costing me almost $5k in extra packages.

Need to rerun the math, but I still think the up front expense of the 6.7 will be worth it. I don't really tow and generally don't have any need for it, but its bad a$$ and holds it's value better than the gas. I've never bought anything where the break even is 10yrs out though. I drive 15-20k per year, much of that to my ranch 60 miles each way.

FYI - several members have ordered trucks from Granger Ford in Iowa. They are selling trucks......including trucks with the Tremor Package at 2% below invoice.....so, a decent discount off of MSRP in this short supply market economy.

I ordered mine from Granger this morning.

Welcome to the forum, I was able to work a deal very close to invoice with Covert here in Austin on my Platinum 350 Tremor last month

I called them twice and they didn't return calls. Spoke to a sales person each time and they said they had to check with a sale Mgr. Same with Maxwell.

Oh well. Leif did answer the phone and laughed when I asked about invoice.

Granger is a few hours from my grandfather in Missouri, so it will make for a nice quick visit with him when I go pick it up.

Nope. I ordered already with somebody else. It's one of those things, if you can't get your stuff together, then you don't earn my business.

Jamie, the Sales Mgr at Bill Fick in Huntsville will do Invoice and will delivery for free to central TX, so even that is better than Covert.
He called me back within minutes of me leaving a message.

Can anyone confirm if the under seat storage is not included with the carpet delete option?
