Hi, this is my first post here. I'm trying to order a 2022 F350 Tremor before the end of July and unfortunately all the local dealers are giving me the run-around when I call them, claiming 8-12 months for delivery. Definitely want to order and build it the way I want. Unfortunately I didn't know order banks opened in March; normally I'm on top of the ball of these kinds of things, so I know mine may not show up before Christmas.

Who's the best to deal with around here? I've tried Griffith Ford and Truck City Ford to no avail (closest dealers to me). I also want to use X plan, which they said they're not accepting. Ideally, if you know a dealer that can beat X plan that is even better, but I understand if that isn't possible in today's awful market (for buyers).

Thank you for helping a future Tremor owner (hopefully)!

:)

PM me and I’ll connect you with a fantastic guy. If something is possible, he will know.

Obviously could be giving you the runaround in other ways, but FYI 8-12 months for delivery may be realistic. Could also happen a lot sooner, but no one really knows when the chip shortage will be sorted out.

good luck my man! i ordered mine when the bank opened and been patiently waiting lol, im hoping by november since i'd like to take it on a hunt in kentucky

Yeah mean there’s zero way you’ll get a MY22 in July. The first production runs of MY22 start 19 July. Sorry to break that to you but there are definitely still dealers around that you can order one with. The trick is finding a dealer with allocation which means a big dealer typically but that’s also can be tough on the price. If you PM me I can put you in contact with my dealer who I ordered through back in March. They are great and definitely have allocation but they are up in the DFW area and they aren’t taking X-plan pricing right now. But from my understanding finding a dealer that is will be hard to find as well. I’m hoping you can though then you can joint them wait with me and all of the other MY22 guys and gals! Hahaha

I read on another forum that Renesas (Ford chip supplier) will be at 100% capacity before end of June.

Maybe not applicable to Super Duty's, but I read where Ford is building new order F150s before finishing the ones that have been sitting on Ramp 59 for months, causing people to place a new truck order and it is built and shipped in 8-12 weeks.

Never said this, just want to order before end of July!
Ohhh my bad I misunderstood. That one’s on me haha. In that case there’s definitely tons of places to but I would never believe a word they say on delivery time frames because I think they know about as much as we do on that one haha which is often not a lot. But if you want I can put you in contact with a dealer in DFW.

You said they don't do X plan, right? I can't get on board with that.

Yep, it will be. Here's an article about it that was posted in another thread: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/b...r-says-its-nearly-recovered-blaze/7490027002/

If you read through the article, it has multiple quotes with folks saying it won't solve the chip shortage. Here's my breakdown of it:

From that article (emphasis added):
While near-normal production at the Renesas Naka plant is good news for the auto business, it won’t solve the industry’s shortage by itself, said Phil Amsrud, senior principal analyst with IHS Markit who tracks automotive semiconductors.

Renesas is the third-largest maker of automotive chips by revenue, and the largest supplier of microcontroller units, which are widely used on automobiles, Amsrud said. But it contracts for a majority of auto chip production from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., which is still working to increase output, Amsrud said. “Naka by itself is not going to be able to fill the entire hole that we have in the supply chain,” he said.

It will take until the third quarter for the auto industry to see the improved output from TSMC and other chip foundries, but it won’t be enough to fill a backlog, he said. Even from October through December, the auto industry still won’t have enough chips, he said. “We should start seeing an improvement, but we won’t be able to ship everything we didn’t fill earlier,” Amsrud said.
So that's definitely good news! And potentially things will stop getting worse with regards to supply in the near future. But doesn't sound like things will improve in the immediate near future.

I'm still planning on my 2022 order being delivered late this calendar year at best. And if it's delivered earlier than that, well then I get to be surprised in a good way. :D

No right now they aren’t honoring it because of the current market. I hear you for sure. From my understanding though it’ll be tough to find a dealer that does but I hope you do! Let me know if you want their contact info to just talk. Also for the record I have zero affiliation with them and don’t work for them promise haha.

Yeah, the current market is awful and we all know the tables will turn in our favor again once inventory floods their lots of bog standard trucks before the end of year. :ROFLMAO:

I'm managing to barely keep the 2013 F150 going. Replaced vacuum pump, but it's also due for timing chain and exhaust manifolds. (Gen 1 eco is no bueno)

So from what I heard from a friend at a dealership (not in my area) yesterday is a lot of dealers are planning to keep this pricing through the end of the calendar year. Which I am hoping is not true…

The market will dictate how long the pricing will hold. As long as inventory is scarce, prices will be high. Given the inventory shortage could potentially last through the end of the calendar year, that's not super surprising to me.

Call Mike Reilly at Bill Fick Ford in Huntsville, TX.

I ordered my 2022 King Ranch Tremor from Truck City back in March, they accepted x-plan at the time, Bill Fick would also accept x-plan but Truck City was much closer. I tried Covert but they wouldn't accept the order it at the time. In normal times, both Bill Fick and Covert (with Legmars guy) would beat x-plan, I am not sure they will now.
