Well hopefully new owner! I'm going to be placing my order for a F250 Platinum Tremor Crew Cab this week. As this will be my daily driver I'm looking to load it with as many creature comforts as I can and still maintain a reasonable payload as it will be used to pull our 27' RV.

So far I'm planning on the 7.3 gas engine, moonroof and pretty much load it from there. I am hoping that the adaptive cruise and spray in bed liner won't hold up the build for too long but I have time to wait as the RV won't be delivered until the summer.

I am concerned about the payload hit all the options may make. I have read several threads on this and if I can come away with anything over 2,700 pounds of payload I'll be happy.

I'm looking forward to the new truck and learning / sharing with the group!

Congratulations and welcome!

Welcome!

Adaptive Steering is the Achilles heel of the order process/timeline right now - since you you stated you were not in a hurry this may not matter. Others will tell you to get exactly what you want and do not compromise - and I agree! Adaptive cruise, btw, shouldn't hold it up.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the order. Sit back and enjoy the wait 🙃

Welcome and congrats! Hopefully some others with 250's can chime in with their payload capacities and options.

For context, I have a loaded 350 7.3L Lariat (pretty much everything other than the moon roof and adaptive steering) and I have about 3600 pounds of payload capacity and a GVWR of 11,300 pounds. Considering the 7.3L 250 has a GVWR of 10,000 pounds that means my exact truck in a 250 would have 2300 pounds of payload capacity.

On my 2021 F250 Lariat 7.3 Tremor that I just traded in, I had slightly more than 2600 lbs of payload. My truck was a middle of road equipped Lariat, but I did have the moonroof. Congrats on the truck, mine did great with our travel trailer of similar size.

Welcome

will be a great Tremor!!!!!!

Congratulations and welcome!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Well I decided to stop worrying about the payload numbers and ordered the F350. Thanks to all the help from everyone both on the forum and though PM's. Now the agonizing wait begins!
