Just signed up here, I've had a 2017 Raptor 802A for just shy of 4 years and thinking I'm going to sell and get a F250 Tremor mostly because of the limited towing I do and I don't like how the Raptor handles trailers other then that I love the truck. The Tremor looks to be my best option and I know it's not a Raptor. Just trying to get as much info as I can before making the final decision.

Welcome, and you should get the Tremor! Lots of others have traded their Raptors for Tremors and seem to be happy!

Welcome to the forum @mink - Lot's of current and former Raptor Owners upgraded to the Tremor for the same reasons (including myself) . Check out these threads for some good information:

Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for all the info and links. Question I've watched 2 YouTube videos about the Tremor not being a Raptor and I know that and realize they are 2 completely different rigs. But in both videos they talk about how stiff and hard the ride is in a F250 Tremor and I'm wanting to hear from you is this true? I get that it won't ride like a Raptor but is it really going to throw a guy all over the cab?:ROFLMAO: My rig before the Raptor was a Toyota Tundra and it was stiff but acceptable for the gravel logging roads and hunting roads in the desert. INPUT PLEASE

It rides stiff, but not usually so for an HD truck. It is quite a bit stiffer though than just about any 1/2 ton. Probably quite a lot stiffer than a Raptor, but I've never owned one. On a rough road its pretty clear you're not driving your grandma's Camry. It feels like a truck made to have weight on the chassis - be that in payload or pin/tongue weight.

By the way, F250 and F350 Tremors are ironically identical trucks, outside of those variations related to 7.3 versus 6.7, and all else held equal. I know it sounds crazy - it did to me as well - but it's been confirmed enough times that the horse is long dead and bleached bones. So keep that in mind, depending on your needs legally. Price difference is fairly minimal, and you're buying/ordering the door sticker ratings, basically.

So I personally do not own a raptor but have an avalanche which honestly rides super smooth thanks to the soccer mom suspension ?.
I’ve test drove a 250 a 350 and a tremor 350.

honestly the tremor rode pretty well. I mean the stiffness was anticipated so really it’s not that bad. The only time I really noticed it was at 70mph on a grooved highway. Granted this is with the tires at the dealer PSI and not lower which does make a difference.
The non tremors do feel more planted due to the rear sway bar and stiffer front sway bar along with shorter tire wall.

I’m sure that wasn’t the most helpful but it’s not CRAZY STIFF and back breaking as people say. Go ride in a older HD truck and then hop in these and they feel nice. To me it rode nicer than my fathers 2012 ram 2500.

I came from a Tahoe with the magnetic ride suspension. That road on the stiff side. My Tremor rides very similar. I hardly notice the difference. The Tremor does handle the curves better than I expected. And my wife loves riding in it. We haven’t taken her brand new Audi anywhere since I got the truck. That’s gotta be good for something ?

ICT,
Are you saying the F350 has the same suspension as the F250 and will ride the same but can haul more weight? I guess I better dig a little deep into the spec's

He's saying they're the same truck but the F350 has higher towing numbers on the almighty door jamb sticker. The 350 is only about a grand more. DO NOT think for a minute that exceeding the placarded minutes will mean anything other than a legal and financial nightmare should you be found culpable while exceeding those numbers.

With the Tremor package, yes. Same springs. Same shocks. Only difference is the rating inside the drivers door. I had your very same question about 4 months ago and did all the research. There are some threads on here that go into all the details.

As far as trucks go I think they’re pretty smooth big tires and good shocks

The Tremor F250 with similar engine is BOLT for BOLT the same Truck as the Tremor F350 only the fender badge and the 2 capacity stickers are different. so if you want to tow and your not in Cali...buy the 350 for the 800 lbs additional cargo capacity and GVWR. (I own a 250). Only diff between trucks are 7.3 v 6.7

Thank You Davidb good read. Now I know why there are no F250 Tremors on any lots within 500 miles of me but I can find F350
