We've camped there before, it is not far from the house. Nice park but the ticks are crazy.

We went to Westmoreland State Park, east of Fredericksburg, twice. Ticks there were insane, good thing dogs were on Frontline…probably won’t go there again bc Ticks were so bad.

One of our favorites is Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, VA. James River State Park is nice too, although only have been there once.
