Here is a hack for a locking fuel cap I made this morning. Nothing fancy... I removed the OE cap lanyard by just popping the push pin out. Then used a short piece of SS vinyl coated cable and push pin on the door hinge end and carefully drilled the locking cap and secured the cable with fasteners. Nothing complicated, but it will keep me from leaving the cap at the pump.

Yes and seriously its been raining here...like ALOT!

OK. Thanks. On another note, I ran out to the NAPA and got the fuel cap. We got a bit of snow here in the Seattle area so the roads are pretty clear of traffic..
Just go easy popping out the old push pin for the lanyard. This way you can retain your old OE fuel cap and lanyard. ??????

Nice make more lanyards and you could sell them. I will buy one.

Just a note on this if anyone else is planning to get one. BK 703-1881 did not fit my '21 F-350. I don't know if they are using different fuel spouts on some trucks but I had to return it and order BK 703-1773.
You can tell by looking at they way it goes on. 1881 has a notch, and 1773 has regular threads.
The NAPA website will say 1773 will not fit but if fits perfectly, and the 1881 will not even start to go on on my '21 Tremor.

Thanks Whiskey. I was going to order this Forum my 21’ F350. You saved me a hassle.

Maybe ford has mixed fuel tank stock but I would think that if your fuel cap looks like the one on the left in this pic then you need the part on the right (BK 703-1773)
