I want to get a reducer for my hitch in the event I have to use someone else’s hitch or any other scenario. Who makes 1 with the least amount of slop?

I bought the Curt 3”-2.5”-2” mostly because they all come together in a kit mated to each other. I initially tried using the 2.5” that came with the truck and a curt 2” together but didn’t like the fit.

I’m just trying to avoid buying 1 that does not fit that well. Figured maybe someone bought a certain brand and it fits like a glove. I already have a 2.5” weight safe 180 but my weight distribution hitch for my toy hauler is only 2” and I’m not sure if I’m going to spend the money to buy a new shank or just go for the reducer

Here is the Husky 3" to 2" Tube Adapter I bought for my Blue Ox WDH two weeks ago. It is one solid piece, instead of using 2 reducers which gives it much less play and is easier to line up the pin. I will use my Ford supplied 3" to 2.5" reducer for 2.5" shanks and the larger one for the 2" shanks.

It is out of stock on Amazon, so I must have bought the last one. :)

Has anyone tried the Gen-Y one, looks like it attaches to the the ball mount as opposed to the receiver so kind of a pain to move but I like that it has the set screws to take out the slop... although still could slop in the receiver I'd think.

I love this thing. Works great removing the slop from reducer and other things like the four bike carrier I use that fits in a 2 inch receiver.
