Have a grand total of 1,050 miles on the truck. XLT 7.3 4.30 rear end. Knocking appears to be coming from under the truck and only happens when in Reverse and the brake is applied. Once the truck starts moving the knocking stops. Does not happen any other time, ie when in park, neutral or Drive. Sounds like a small jack hammer. Transmission is smooth. Any ideas. Headed to the dealer tomorrow.

UPDATE
Truck had the same noise as Sheepdog. Bad torque converter. Manufacture date Jan 2021. Fixed under warranty.

Very glad that you got it fixed!

Holy shit that was fast.

I just got my 2020 with 1500 miles back a couple weeks ago after sitting at the dealership for 2.5 months "waiting on a TQ", resulting in a brand new full trans swap because they couldn't get their hands on the part to just replace the TQ.

Glad you got it back. Ridiculous it took that long.
