King Ranch Tailgate Applique - Part #: LC3Z99425A34BA

I'm wondering if anyone knows - is this something that would simply slip into the recessed area of the tailgate on F350 without the Chrome Package? My initial feeling tells me that there will most likely be holes that would have to be drilled to accept this piece.

I would love to add this piece and have it customized a little bit for my Rapid Red / Stone Gray Tremor. I didn't want the Chrome Appearance Package as I wanted painted bumpers, handles and mirror caps. However I DO want this piece.

I'm also hoping that the KR badge in the bottom left of my tailgate can just be removed without any holes behind it. - If there are holes behind the badging - she's staying stock. Here's to hoping...

Any thoughts and input would be appreciated.

You're a hell of a lot better at reading schematics then I am apparently. How do you tell by those photos?

Also - does it make a difference that it's a different part #?

Haha the panel in the diagram and photos (one of the photos appeared smooth without embossing which I assumed was the back of the applique) doesn't show any hardware, holes, or extrusions so I assumed it's using double sided tape but I could be wrong.

Completely different tailgate shell, unfortunately. I wish it weren't so because I'd like to add it as well, but not for $3K in parts and paint.

That's (Almost) EXACTLY what I want! That Looks Great! I'd change the black inlays to D1 Stone Gray for my two tone.

Has anyone tried something similar with a chrome tailgate? I have an oxford white truck, so not sure what color inlay to get.

Were the inlays painted or are those vinyl decal inserts?
