I just installed the tunes and of course I went with the 93 performance tune and damn I’m impressed. What a huge difference. It has ZERO lag pedal-wise and really has some giddy up now ? I wasn’t sure what to expect because my 17 Raptor picked up 100hp using MPT’s 93 pro tune and that truck absolutely ripped tuned. The truck feels totally different now and almost a little lighter on her feet so to speak. . The tranny is super smooth running through the gears, which I wanted. I'm very impressed and HIGHLY recommend anyone who's looking to get rid of the laggy-ness right off idle to give 5-Star a call.

I've been running an 87 Performance/Daily tune for a few months now. Not a ton of miles yet since I don't drive a whole ton right now due to 100% telework. Just running kids to school and practices etc. Having said that here at my elevation 6,200 ft the 87 is fantastic. A lot of the gain is for sure the transmission mapping and being in the correct gear for speed you're going. Like you said feels much lighter and responsive. I'm a fan for sure.

Totally agree with you. I I've had my Tremor since 11/22 and I've only driven it 550 miles so far. I had COVID for the better part of 3 wks which really sucked and ruined our Christmas. I didn't drive my truck for roughly 3 wks. I've had the tuner and tunes since Christmas and just installed them this morning. Looking forward to testing all of the tunes especially the tow tunes.

I had the N-Gauge with my Raptor and loved it for it's ease of use and for the gauges and that it was windshield mountable. I went with the handheld SCT unit because with the Christmas discount it was $200 cheaper than the N-gauge. It was a purely financial decision for me :)

I had the SCT already from my 2013 F150 so it was an easy decision there as well. Only issue right now is for whatever reason the SCT can't update the TPMS thresholds on the tunes yet. I check in with 5 Star once a month to see if there are any updates for that working... nothing yet. I'm due to check in later this week.

This is awesome news as I just ordered the NGauge and the 93 Performance tune was one of the five I selected. I’m also installing a new cold air intake, headers, mid pipe and cat back system, all from AFE, and was a bit on-the-fence with which way to go on the tuner. I was waffling back and forth between 5Star and AFE tunes, but based on my research, I went with 5Star.

Thanks for posting your results.

I have the sct tuner. Been running just the throttle and tranny tune. Not to bad. The daily tow tune wasn’t bad but the down shifts could get aggressive and sometimes would get a dead pedal from first to 3rd. Was wondering about the 87 performance tune. Going to try that next. Then maybe the 93 performance tune. How was the shifting with the performance tune. Does it hold the shifts a little better. I can’t stand being in 10 gear going 40 miles an hour. I just feel like it’s not in its poweband

did you get your tunes from 5 star i ordered the 93 heavy tow & 93performance all-terrain

Yes from 5 star, I’m going to get the 93 performance as well. I have , pedal and trannny, 87 performance, and daily tune

Got my 5 star 7.3 tuned at 2000 miles. I know have 17000 the 93 tune rocks really rocks the wallet to fill up!
I have towed ( 16k ) with the 89 tow really great a slight improvement over stock.
Im still havening a terrible time with this pedal lag, dead pedal issue! regardless of what tune
Haven't seen much for MPG increase as I did when tuning my diesel trucks

Mpg after tune?
Warranty?

I can’t stand 5 star tuning just on name alone. Way too cliche. Haha

I've only had the tunes for a wk and have only been running the 93 performance one. I really haven't checked the mileage and I honestly don't care about the mileage. I tuned both of Raptors and now the Tremor and I've never had a issue with any warranty related stuff. My dealer said not to worry about it but also he said please don't bring it in with a rod hanging out of the side of the motor... :)

You're getting dead pedal/lag with the 93 perf tune? I feel that the dead pedal, right off idle lag was my biggest complaint about the 7.3 in my first wk or so of driving it and that's why I tuned with roughly 500 miles on it. It has ZERO pedal lag now and if anything is super crisp now and quite responsive to the lightest touch of pedal now. My wife feels it a bit too responsive now the couple of times that she's driven it.

I'm interested in getting some more feedback on the tunes for regular fuel. I'm considering the group buy deal on 5 Stars SCT tuner. Was there a mileage increase afterwards for any of you running the 85 or 87 tunes?

Thank you!

I have my second 5 Star Tune in my 2020 F-250 Tremor with the 7.3 and the dead pedal is still there, not as bad, but bad enough. I'm thinking I might have to take it to them. Any suggestions?

It's a Drive-by-wire thing. They can work on it to get as much out of it as they can. I had same issue with my 2013 F150 and after a couple revisions it was better, but never gone.

Im interested as well. I tried a second set of tunes, very minimal improvement with lag. As stated somewhere, the dead pedal is predominant when steering is turned? I have found having a heavy foot on take off helps, LOL
