I knee-knocked the bulletproof hitch today while wiping down the truck! ? It’s solid. Nobody else needs to do this.

That was literally the first thing everyone said when they saw it. “Just wait until you run your knee into that thing...”

I still have a scar and dent in my shin from smashing a drop down many years ago. I’m pretty sure part of my bone turned to dust.

It may be illegal in most states to drive with the hitch insert in. That’s just what I heard though.

Ouch!

I never keep mine in. I have a couple micro fiber towels that I wrap it with and keep it under the rear seat.

I never used to keep a hitch in. Until I saw a post on here where a member got rear ended and the hitch essentially mitigated any damage to the truck.

Ouch, for sure. I don't leave mine in, unless I'm doing the up north and towing thing. And I'm known to point at other's rigs who've left it in, and say "watch out for that" while waking with my family in parking lots or whatever.

Just a dose of pain waiting to happen is right.

I hope your leg recovers.

I bet some choice words were said! :)

Oh yeah! The neighbors were probably wondering what was going on. Then I blamed it on the dog. Lol
