So just picked up the truck this week. So far love it. One thing I noticed is what looks like some sort of protective film that may have not been removed at the factory. Was going to simply start pulling at it but wanted to see if anyone else has the same thing going on.

Its a bitch to get off, think they are supposed to do it at the dealer but mine did not either. It actually leaves a film behind as well so need goo gone too.

I didn’t have it on my Raptor... seems like an oversight that it was left behind

I also have it on mine. Just picked it up two weeks ago.
I didn’t have it in my 2015 F-150 so initially I thought it was to prevent rubbing also.
I attempted to remove it for about 30 seconds and ultimately was defeated and I gave up.

It's on mine too. I've had my truck for a week. I may call the dealer to find out what they think. I've had to pull something similar before with tweezers. It wasn't any fun. Right now, I think I can live with it.

mine had it too. I used a dental pick to carefully peel it back then an xacto knife to cut the parts I peeled up. What you see isn’t all of it. The film wraps back around underneath that trim piece. So you have to remove the radio to be able to get it all off. It is a true pain in the as*!

Not my pictures took them from svt4x4’s video of his dash to floor shifter conversion.
You can pull the cup holder portion of the center console out and remove the blue sticker. Open the center console, use tool to pry up the furthest rear piece of silver console then the other side, lift up and pull back to remove front clips.

How do you you the trim to come back past the cup holders?

It is supposed to be there to prevent plastic to plastic rubbing that causes a squeaking noise. Yea they should have made it clear instead.
