I know I'm a newbie (~2 weeks with new truck), but I don't understand why interior lights aren't illimuniated when I open any door. The exterior marker lights come on. What's the deal? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Ok dude.....when I unlock my Lariat ultimate......by touching the inside of the outside door handle at night......here is what happens:

all my dash...button lights...map lights...dome lights...bed lights...puddle lights.....the whole G@D Damn truck lights up.......my mirrors expand from folded....etc....thats before I even get in.....

and I havent changed anything except for my mirrors folding when I lock unlock...................

Your switches have to be physically set for "DOOR". You should see a switch on the bezel of your interior light. I believe this is true for most cars and trucks.

Thank you. I will go check.

Yeah this tricked me in a f150 a few years back, there is a button on the overhead switches that basically turns off dome lights when doors are open.

what did you find??????
As RaptorTremor said, there is a switch in overhead console, in middle, that enables turning off lights when door is open. I suspect what happen to me, is that when I took delivery I acted like a kid at Christmas and started pushing every button in sight?
