After nearly 2 months my Retrax Pro XR arrived along with the Rhino Rack. Install could not have been simpler for either product and the quality is top notch. I have always been a yakima guy but I decided to give Rhino Rack a try, for $200 less and more cargo carrying capacity it made sense. I could not be more happy with the quality. I hope to get an installation video up on youtube soon but for now I thought I would share some pictures.

BTW, I purchased from Tonneau Factory Outlet and saved quite a bit of money, I definitely recommend checking them out.

I should add, the bike racks are Swagman and purchased on Amazon for around $40 each. These too are a great deal for the money. Again, I had to break from my loyalty to yakima but it just made sense for the money.

Looks great! This is my setup as well. Although I bit the bullet and bought 3 Yakima racks. They were on sale for $100 off during Covid height so I went with it. Couldn’t be happier with the cover. Nice job!

I'm really looking at the Retrax as well. Would love to see your video when you get it ready!

I should recieve my Retrax within 2-3 weeks. Look forward to installing it - will be the first retractable bed cover I've had. I'm also looking into the Rhino Rack vs. Yakima. I envision mounting a basket and possibly a cargo box over the bed. Where did you get the Rhino Rack from? BTW, it appears we have the exact same Tremor, very nice! ?

I ended up going through Etrailer for the Rhino Rack because they offered a kit specifically for the Super Duty Retrax (bars and legs). And also because they had it in stock. It appears to be out of stock at the moment however before I purchased I watched it go in and out of stock every few days.

Looks like a nice setup, I’m still debating which bars/setup I want to do on my Retrax. I’ve been leaning towards the Yakima Overhaul Rack with their Lock N Load Rack. Figured that should give me plenty of versatility to mount various different things.

On a side note, anyone in the Tampa Bay area looking for a Retrax ProXR, I’ve got one I can work you a killer deal on. Out of the box but never installed. I’m just not really wanting to ship it, so testing the waters now for pickup only. Had a few friends I offered it to but passed on it.

Bill, I've been waiting for mine to come in since 1/24/21. Dealership was sent one by distributor on 2/4 that was missing the T-slots so was returned. They have been jerking my dealership around she now he's dealing with Retrax directly. Supposedly.... Mine should ship this Thursday. Might be worth the 3hr drive down to you at this point. I'll shoot you a PM later if you still have it

How did you decide between the regular and the Pro?

I wanted the aluminum over the polycarbonate construction. And went with the XR because I wanted to make sure I had the option to add rails/bed rack later.

I had a lot of delays getting mine in. I think it was around 3-4 months from the date I placed the order until the day I installed the cover (I installed it the week it arrived). But, aside from that I’m really happy with it and am glad I went this route.

The wild thing for me, I ordered it on 1/13 and it had a build date of 3/3 per a sticker on the plastic wrapping, I received it on 3/10.

I also choose the Pro model due to it being aluminum. I originally was going for the Poly but they said the Florida sun will damage it if the truck primarily sits outside.

Very nice install, looking at the Rhino Rack myself.

One question though, how many time have you whacked your shin on that hitch? :ROFLMAO:

Ha! Once so far. I actually hit it walking backwards around the truck and nearly fell at a Costco gas station which I am sure provided great entertainment.

We have been hauling the camper a couple of times per week so I have been leaving it on.
