Incorrect payload numbers by Ford

This popped up on my feed regarding incorrect payload numbers by Ford, on some 2020 SD's (a tremor is pictured in the article). I thought some my have an interest in the article. I have not researched the validity of what was written.

Is this one of those cases where “plot twist” fits perfectly?

It says the payloads where over exaggerated. I see Ford being forced to buy back or replace trucks.
If you buy a truck specifically because it fits your requirements based on their error, I can completely see them having to buy back the trucks.

It is a 350 so it's definitely possible

I believe the recall involves 2020 6.7 F-250’s from that timeframe only. I may be mistaken however.

That's a reasonable number on a 350 with the 6.7, so I'm not sure you have anything to worry about.

I’ve seen 2 articles and I don’t see mention of F250s specifically. I only see specifics for 2020 6.7 and superduty.
i would not even assume it to be Tremor specific

mine on my 6.7 f350 is 3308 lbs

I saw on another forum that the issue may be with the long bed trucks with the 12,400 GVW as owners themselves have noticed some odd numbers. If this is true then it wouldn't apply to the Tremor.

And I really don’t think the numbers on here are messed up. We determined the LOW payloads are on the derated trucks and all the other numbers seem reasonable
