I showed my Tremor what it was built for. We climbed 30 miles of steep, narrow, paved, Rocky Mountrain roads and then another twelve winter worn dirt roads. There we arrived at the site of my recently burned mountain home. Tremor/phoenix performed exceptionally well. I had previously lowered the tire pressure as recomended on this blog. The assent was no bother. Road noise was mostly non existent. Curves were made with ease. Passing on the rare opportunity was made with the spead of a rocket. On arrival I got a reminder of just how long the truck is as I could not make the turn onto my drive in one pass. Removal of one or two burned tree will correct that problem. I removed the trucks load from the bed and the generous loading space provided by raised back bench seat and then hung out for 24 hours. The descent back to plains was again with no effort. With comfortable seating and stretched out legs and arms in the roomy cab, an hour and a half passed with little notice. The corduroy, pothole ridden roads could barely be felt. The combo of the diesel break and 10 speed transmission eliminated the need for down shifting. My new ride exceeded expectations and I hope we will have a long love affair.
