I have a question about the B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen (10 Speakers including Subwoofer)

So with all that being said and to any of the guys on this thread that have modified the factory audio themselves, how was the process? Fairly simple but pricey, or fairly complicated but pricey? haha I'm gonna be taking the plunge and upgrading, but I'd like to save on the install since just the mods are looking to be upwards of $2K. Also, has anyone tried going with a 10" sub anywhere other than below the rear seat? I want to keep my storage. I'm not big on the door rattling bass (I mostly listen to rock and metal) so I'm going for crisp and fast lows. If so recommendations on enclosures. All input is appreciated. I'm not by any means a car audio savant, but I have done installs on 2 of my previous vehicles.
I put the P300-10T in my truck and I love it. Its a powered Rockrford Fosgate 10" sub designed to go under the seat of a truck. It sticks out a little but I am okay with it.

About the only disappointment I have with my Tremor is the B&O system. Previously owned a AT4 with a BOSE system, it was far superior to the B&O in my opinion. Of course everything else on the AT4 was crap, that’s why I’m back in a Ford.

Agreed. Even my 06 Ram Lariat with the Infiniti system was as good or better.

Would it be worth changing the B&O door speakers out with some Kicker DS'?

The fronts are 6x9s and the rears are 6.5s from what I can find, and I found some on sale. I know Kicker DS' are not premium but I put them in my SVT Raptor and it made the sound system way better than the stock Sony junk

Sound deaden and replace the stocks at a bare minimum.

How easy is it to change the door speakers? Is it just plug and play? Seems like all these fancy systems are linked together even though they are crap speakers

The door speakers are pretty easy, you may need to get wire adapters if you don’t want to splice, and speaker adapter rings depending on what speakers you use. I am going with 8” up front and 6.5 coaxial in the rear doors. Then I will move on to the pillars, center, headliner, and headrests. Keep in mind some speakers are powered by the head unit and some from b&o amp, which is terrible.

here is what i used, the keyloc box is the magic that makes this work. It fixes fords stupid dumb ass bass roll off

then a jp3 amp

skar under seat box, yeah it kills the storage but what ever

toss in a good shallow mount speaker to match the jp3 output and boom :)

this keeps the factory head unit and gives you all you need
