I received an update on 12/4 saying my 250 was in production and then as of today is still says in production. The estimated delivery Monday night showed 12/31/21 and now it says TBD. Called dealer and sales guy said it’s on Chip Hold and had no other information to add… was hoping to get it by year end but now, I’m thinking that’s definitely not going to happen. Can anyone share some insight on chip hold timing…?

No rhyme or reason seems to me. I have several friends with orders and it is almost a game of roulette The ones who need them the most seem to be on the losing end of the game.

Yeah, was afraid of that….So could be months or what are some of the worst horror stories out there? Thnx for your reply.

I don't know if certain options are involved, my guess is they do but nobody seems to share that info. Would be great to know if a certain option will delay the truck so new guys that are ordering can consider it.

It seems to be a mystical combination of the physical location of the vehicle in relation to the place the off-line lot assembly workers began the module installs, the priority code issued by the dealer, and the production allocation of the dealers themselves. It is an esoteric knowledge, unknowable by the mortal man.

My purgatory truck, which spent the first 120 days of its existence in Sparta, took a total of seven months from order to delivery.
