How do I turn off auto power folding mirrors

Anyone know how to turn off the auto power folding mirror? I want to set it so they only fold when I push the fold button. I hate haveing them fold in and out 20 times when I’m washing my truck. Every time I spray the handle with the pressure washer they fold. Every time I touch them with the microfiber wash mitten they fold .

I think you can do that through forscan but not sure if you can anywhere else.

We’ll that’s weird, opening and closing with water spray or towel. Anyway, to your question, you can go to vehicle settings in the menu and deselect (uncheck) the auto fold mirrors option. Then you’ll have manual control with button on drivers armrest.

No Forescan required, easy change in vehicle settings. Think I remember it being “Mirror”, along with Seat, Wipers, etc.

Yes!!! It’s done! On the gauge cluster settings, It’s under “settings“, “Advanced“ “vehicle”,”mirrors“.

Same thing happened to me. Got annoying pretty quick. I don’t know why they unfold when the door is unlocked. I’d rather have them do it when you start the truck.

I Forscan set mine to Autofold Lincoln Mode. They do not open at unlock. They open after you get in the truck and close the door. Solved.

It wasn’t in my pocket but thanks caption obvious. I need to put them in the house. it was still doing it with the keys over 20ft away

Then you have something else going on, none of that reacts if you don't have the keyfob on you.

I turned mine on so they would auto-fold. Makes it nice for parking and heck even in my driveway. I had the same issue at the carwash, and as someone already mentioned just leave the keys in the truck and it won't do this.

As long as you have folding mirrors, you can turn it on in FORScan.

You have it. I have a Lariat Value package and it is on it. Go to settings, and scroll around. There is a mirror setting and you click ok and turn it on or off.

Yes, this works for me. It will not lock with the key in unless holding the bottom two buttons on the keypad on the driver's side door.

I like the auto fold function simply for the visual confirmation for the wife's sanity check that I locked the doors after we walk up to the store.
