Hi folks,
no doubt a question that's been asked before (but can't find anything on it)- my new 6.7 Lariat Tremor SD250 is due for arrival at the dealership in a week or so's time. I plan on towing my trade truck (2019 Raptor) to the out of county dealer with my 3,000lb toy hauler behind, staying a few nights in and around the area we're buying the new truck from, then driving the new truck/toy hauler home.
The existing Raptor has a 2' hitch receiver but the dealer tells me the Tremor has a 2.5' receiver. A local dealership here tells me is a 3' receiver...
I want to purchase a B&W hitch (7' drop) prior to picking up the new truck so I can tow the toy hauler home but am worried about buying the wrong size hitch receiver, and then needing to return the wrong one and deal with re-stocking fees as well as then not being able to tow the toy hauler home..
Can anyone please reassure me what size the hitch receivers are on these Tremor's?

Thanks as always.

3" receiver for the Diesel Tremors

2.5" for the 7.3L Tremors.

Do the 3" come with the reducer like previous years, or do I need to steal the one for 2" out of my 17 before trading and buy a 3 to 2- 1/2 if I want to use my 2" hitch for light trailers?
My '22 came with the 3" to 2-1/2" reducer :)

My 2021 Diesel only came with a single reducer from 3" down to 2.5". You should buy a 3" to 2" reducer to minimize the slop of using two reducers. Here is the one I bought on Amazon for $43.

Probably will end up buying a new 3" drop hitch. Looking for an aluminum one . Any recommendations other than weigh safe?
