Hey folks, GearAmerica is my favorite off-road recovery brand. They are running a valentines sale across their entire site for 20% off!

Thanks for this. Got my buddy a B Day gift. 2x2 hitch with shackle for his Colorado.

I personally struggle with recovery gear manufactured in China. Although less expensive, I prefer Made in the USA recovery gear. A play on words and saying “developed and designed” in the USA is not American Made and is misleading to the public. I only purchase gear that is manufactured, certified, and tested in the good old USA.

Yeah - I feel the same way. For stuff that just sits in my truck for the "just in case" moments, I don't mind. For items I'll use frequently, I'll spend the $$$ for USA made if it's better quality. Unfortunately, made in USA isn't always better. Although it does make me feel better to buy. Kinda like my Jeep.

I bought a Toyota many years ago before they actually had a US assembly plant. I found something in the brochure that stated "Final Assembly done in the USA" ... I asked the dealer about this and he said that means they toss the first-aid kit in the back when it arrives at the port. ?

Good looking out! (y)

I was wanting some of the uber shackles with anti-theft. Thanks again!

Factor 55. Made in Idaho. They make the best gear in my opinion. They include testing certificates/ data with all their products too. They don't make bow shackles though. They sell Crosby shackles. Also made in USA. They make rigging gear so they are also load certified

Other than the fact they copied their design from others who had a better design. The safety Thimble is the best rope termination, it’s now the safety thimble II. Factor 55 is now owned by Warn.

I never said they discovered the cure for cancer. Just said that they make great recovery gear (the best in my opinion) here in the USA. Boise, ID to be exact. They test and certify their gear. I'm not aware of them being owned by Warn but if they are that's fine by me. Warn is another great company that makes excellent recovery gear. Their accessories are made overseas but their winches are made here.
