Just got my 250 and was disappointed with 1 thing. My driver side visor does not have the buttons to open the garage door. Am I missing something?

Apparently you are missing something, the buttons ???. I’m kidding, yes you have to order it.

it is a option you have to add to your truck

I have it, but didn't order it, so I got to looking. Seems it's not available on the XL or XLT, optional on the Lariat (85D order code), but standard on everything above it.

Pages 3 and 19 of the MY21 Order Guide:

For the price of a Lariat that should absolutely, definitely, and unequivocally be part of the package.
To be fair, there are six grades of Super Duty, and the Lariat/King Ranch are only mid-grade trucks in the lineup. If they start including everything in the mid-grade units, they can't justify the upper levels.

There's no free lunch. Ford explains that quite well.
Ford figures if you're buying a lowly Lariat you can't
afford a garage.
You mean can’t afford a big enough garage. That’s my current situation... ?

I don't have a problem with Ford de-contenting the Lariat and then offering a la carte options to build it up to whatever someone wants. Makes the Lariat trim level super flexible. One can buy a base Lariat that is basically an XLT with a significantly upgraded interior for still reasonable money, or deck one out to where it is 90% of a Platinum in content.

I was on that limb for a while between an XLT with options and a base Lariat. The margin in that case is pretty small relative to total MSRP. Makes a base Lariat really appealing.

It's the same way with the King Ranch; buy a KR Ultimate and I'm not sure if there is an actual content difference between it and a Platinum. (EDIT: Platinum comes with adaptive cruise as standard.)

Hah! I have a Lariat and a garage plenty big for it :)

I'm not sure there's any difference between a Lariat Ultimate and a King Ranch Ultimate other than styling. One is city, one is country.

When one starts optioning up lower levels to upper level specs and prices, the problem comes at trade-in time. No dealer cares that the Lariat has the same options and cost as much as a Platinum when it was new. The Platinum will always have a higher book value.

Massaging seats

I haven’t programmed them in my current truck. If it’s sitting outside I’d prefer someone not be able to break my window and open my garage door to steal shit for meth money.

Likely wouldn’t happen where I live but it’s just something that concerns me.

The entirety of the KR Ultimate differs from the Lariat Ultimate, save for the tailgate step. All of the KR Ultimate content remains a la carte options to a Lariat Ultimate, except for the active motion seats which are not offered on the Lariat Ultimate.
