More of a Ford question, but do the garage door opener buttons work without the key FOB present? I don't carry the garage remote in my car for security purposes. I would consider programming the built in opener, but only if it works with the FOB present. I'd hate to accidentally leave the truck unlocked and give someone access to the garage/house.

Personally I wouldn't worry too much about a garage door opener. It takes less than 2 seconds to programmatically open a garage door or to use the firemans tool that pulls the emergency access cord. While I get security as its my job, if someone wants in your house/garage it is easily done. There are many devices not allowed in my house for specific reasons and it would be nice to see more security around wireless communication devices but some conveniences I settle with.
