I don't either but I figured if the VHB tape ever failed while the cap was on it and fell of and rolled under my truck I didn't wanna be crawling under the truck to get it.

I can personally say that @kmtweb makes a great product for a fair price. He was quick to ship, and my holder has been working great! I used double sided clear gorilla tape to hang it for a nice clean look. I would definitely recommend purchasing one from him. Plus you are helping out a fellow member on this site with a truck just like yours, can’t go wrong there.
