Has anyone had experience with removing the 4 bolt in the bed - the ones a 5th wheel hitch connects to?

I want to mount a few things to the bed (not a 5th wheel) but before in trying to remove them I wanted to know if they are easy to get out.

Do they fix the bed to the truck? Feels like that would be more than those 4 relatively inboard bolts...

Are they crazy torqued? Or does anyone have a torque spec for them?

TIA

Not sure what you mean. I'm assuming you mean the reverse torx bed bolts? but those have nothing to do with the 5th wheel hitch. The 5th wheel hitch connects to a frame mounted member below the bed.

If you do mean the bed bolts I haven't heard any issues removing them, but they are supposedly single use so you're supposed to use new bolts each time.

I've read in one post where the guy was installing the factory 5th wheel hitch and the bolts were extremely hard to remove. Second hand info only but that's what I recall. I would buy new ones to replace. Your service department should be able to advise you on torque specs.
