Hey all, I went in to Forscan to disable the double honk when the truck is on and you jump out with the keys. Apparently there are two opposing codes? I have attached screenshots. One of them is from this site and the other is from the Forscan site. As you can see the codes are different. Can someone tell me what needs to go in the areas where I circled in red? I used the Forscan website codes adn it did disable the horn but it also disabled the tire pressure numbers completely.

Thanks,

C

maybe this one...

No mines a 2020. Don’t have all of those digits.

maybe this one...

That's gonna be a hard no.

MY20 is different than MY17-19. This is the document for MY20+:

2020-21 Super Duty FORScan Spreadsheet

And that is the one I used. But it also took away my tire pressure sensors completely. All I changed was the double honk code. Can you read me all of the numbers that you have in the double honk row? I want to see if mine match.

I can confirm that the 17 spreadsheet does *not* work on a 2021. I used the linked 2020-21 spreadsheet very successfully this past weekend on my 2021 model. Here's what worked for me...
  1. Heated Vented Seat Icons on Home Screen
  2. TPMS (I think it's labelled TMPS on the spreadsheet)
  3. Bambi mode
  4. Fog light remember
  5. Double Honk w/o key in truck
  6. Secure Idle
  7. DPF% on screen
  8. Auto Regen checkbox
  9. Turn signal flash count

If your tire pressure sensors show up as just "dashes" then drive around for about 2-3 minutes and they will all update with the current tire pressures.

As you have probably figured out, you should have backed up your data before changing. You can' t just put in someone elses numbers and expect it to work, as the truck would need to be configured with options identical to yours. But you can get and download the as built data. I have not had to do it, but have seen it mentioned in various posts with a Ford site where you can download and then upload it to your truck.

I had no troubles but only did one change at a time. It took a long time. If something did not work I reversed it immediately
I have many changes without any issues. ( 2020 model )

Yeah pretty sure I did this. Being a Mac guy this windows stuff is for the birds. But my question is this... are you saying another 2020 Tremor would have different values altogether on the double honk code?

Yes. Forget that it’s a Tremor. Irrelevant information. You’re given one character in the hexadecimal string to change. The reason the convention shows everything else as an ‘x’ is because it varies vehicle to vehicle. Because, you know, hexadecimal and all that.

You should use the Plain English modules when possible, you don't need a spreadsheet to do this. Just scroll through. This is where I disabled the Double Honk. Additional info:

Every location in an address (except the last two checksum bits) can control up to four (4) separate items.
As an example:
720-07-01 xxxx x**x xxxx = Add Temperatures Above Gauges

The first * above controls three (3) items:
Trailer Brake Controller: Present/Absent
Gauge Selection: Turbo Gauge Present/Absent
Digital Gauge Interface: Enabled/Disabled

The second * above controls which temperatures are displayed:
5 = Engine Tempreture and Transmission Tempreture
6 = Engine Tempreture Only
9 = Transmission Tempreture Only
A = No Engine or Transmission Tempreture

Pick the wrong hex character and you could be disabling one thing while activating another. That's why changes on each truck depends on the options and configuration on that truck.

Use Plain English when possible.

Hi All, I have a 21 Tremor and was hoping someone else with a 21 has done some Forscan work that they are willing to share. I should also mention that I have a 7.3. I am just looking to do things like Bambi Mode, change the startup screen, put the heated/cooled seats on the screen, etc. If anyone is willing to share their Spreadsheet of changes, I would be deeply greatful!

I used this, and it worked.

Thank you bud.

Like Apples don't run on X's and 0's, or 1's and 0's if you will?

Hey guys, just got my truck a couple weeks ago. I want to get rid of annoying double honk. What do I need to buy and where do I get this FORscan software?

Any help would be awesome!

I used this adapter.
OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081VQVD3...abc_KX5BVYZ00GFA47MZETXE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

You’ll also need to download forscan on a windows computer.
