Fordpass app is not activating my remote features

Is anyone having issues with the fordpass app not adding the remote features? I added the vehicle on the app (added vin, etc...) and the vehicle adds successfully. Then I click activate vehicle, then the fordpass app says vehicle found and i get a prompt on the sync system in my truck, which i say yes too. After that i get a notification from the fordpass app saying vehicle authorization complete. Unfortunately at this point my remote features are unavailable and the activate vehicle button is still enabled in the app but its not clickable. So i called support they took me through all of the trouble shooting steps like a master reset on the sync system and a uninstall and reinstall of the phone app. But support was unable to fix it and they told me to contact the dealer. I have a 2021 tremor. Is anyone else having this issue?
 
Mine did the same thing. I did nothing and when I opened the app up again the next morning it was working.

This is helpful thanku. I have left it for a couple of days. But maybe i should just stop messing with it and hopefully one day itll start working. Is urs a 2021?

if it does pop up after a while i had to delete the vehicle and add the truck by scanning the Vin sticker on the door
 
mine goes idle if the truck is not driven for a few days. ( 2020).
I have yet to update it and am over due for the update.
 
I just picked up my 2021 tonight and mine is doing the exact same thing. Should have made sure it worked before it left. I did a reset on the truck. deleted the app. deleted the truck, everything. went back in and added everything and still doing the same thing. If it doesn't fix itself overnight I'll have the wife take it back in tomorrow.

My 2020 did the same thing. The dealer couldn’t get it to work when I took delivery. When I researched it here on the forum, others had the same problems back in early Oct. A few days later I tried it and it worked. Never really understood why it started to work but I would give it a few days before bringing it to a dealer and they start taking your new truck apart.
 
My 2021 took at least 15 minutes of sitting in the truck with the truck running to sync up. Has worked flawlessly ever since.

Thanks for the info. When u say u tried a few days later. Did u re-add ur truck to the app a few days later? Or did u leave it added and a few days later the remote features showed up?
 
Wife took the truck in today. Sales man tried numerous times to link it up and nothing. they then had support call my wife and they basically couldn't get it to work either. There last ditch effort was that there was a problem on there end gave my wife a trouble ticket number and said it should work in 3 days and if not call back in. We have tried deleting app and reinstalling turning off phone and turning back on deleting the truck from the app and reinstalling. doing a master rest on the truck , and even disconnecting the batteries on the truck and still the same thing. Will be going in to the service dept next week. Kinda pissed after shelling out this kinda money

Thanks a lot for the response. I did the same troubleshooting steps with support as well. Im curious to see if it starts working for u in 3 days. My guess is it wont. My guess is their backend job for fordpass or service that runs is broken. My guess is that after u answer yes to allow fordpass on sync it pings up to a central server and that central server probably has a job that sends an approval to enable remote features for that VIN. Now im totally guessing here but long story short. Ill bet its a backend IT issue with fordpass. I doubt anything is wrong with our trucks. Maybe itll just be an app update or they will find the IT job or service that is failing and fix it.

this is always possible .... servers always have fucking issues ... there is never a thing of a perfectly working server

My remote features were just added today!! I would suggest leaving the truck added to the app, stop messing with it. Then just give it a few days for the remote features to enable. Tomorrow would b a week, so mine took a while. Have faith!
 
I just got my 21 today. Same issues. Spoke with a fordpass guide who escalated the problem to the engineers lol. Hopefully mine will start working in a few days too.

thats what they told me also. I'm guessing with covid or maybe some other reason they cant keep up with the demand of entering these trucks into the data base or what ever they use. Because almost everyone that has had this issue has had it resolved in about 2-5 business days
 
That should be an automated process that is carried out with syncing truck and device. It should be almost instantanious unless we are using mainframes running cobol and trying to stay in the 80s.
 
I bought my truck last Friday. It was activated right after I signed everything. We tested it there on the lot.
