I am almost identical in remaining payload.

Just checking the math on my first tow. 9000 lbs. on the trailer. About 1000 lbs in the truck. 80 mile trip, half highway, half canyon roads and small hills. Felt like it could do more, but felt near what it could do safely, and a bit past what it could do effortlessly. That Godzilla motor sure has to work for it. Claims I got 10MPG though…

According to Ford’s calculator I could have done another 1000 lb in payload and 7750 lb on the trailer on this trip. Not a chance…

Yeah, bummer. I believe the NHSTA API will provide GVWR/GCVWR for a VIN. If so, I could whip us up our own version of this calculator pretty easily if there’s a need.
