Just got home from first towing experience with the 7.3. 8,400lb trailer, pickup man-handled it like it wasn't there. Mostly stop and go highway 55mph-ish. Started and stopped in both regular and tow mode (either seemed fine). Only about 50 miles to take the trailer into the shop to get an axle replaced, no major grades. Fuel economy seemed to float from 9-12 once up to speed in 10th. Think I am gonna be very happy with it as a tow vehicle. I've pulled the trailer with a chevy 1500 5.3 and 6.2 8 speed, as well as a 2500 with the 6.0L and 6 speed. Absolutely no comparison at all, the 7.3 is a monster (power and torque numbers similar to the chevy 6.2) real world experience, the 7.3 danced all over it.
