First off , loving the truck. 6.7 velocity blue lariat w/chrome
Got 2200km on it so far


I got a few questions:
What’s the difference between auto exhaust brake and normal

When going downhill with the exhaust brake on the truck downshifts super aggressively with my foot not on the gas or brake. Is the only way to control this to select manual on the gearshift? Also what’s the best way to shift into manual mode while driving ?

how do I get forscan? Is there a certain version to get? What causes the double honk when I jump out

Another thing- do the wheel hub caps Just pop off ? Just curious if I ever need to put on that spare

I just got forscan myself about a week ago.

You need a cable. I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081VQVD3F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There is a bluetooth one if you want for $100 will work with your phone and the forscanlite app.

Then go to the forscan site and create an account and download the software. When your account is approved you can get a free license key to run the software.

There are several videos on youtube that I used to get it set up, I recommend watching what you can find before you start. Make sure you back up your modules.

Double honk alerts you that the keys are removed from the vehicle and it is still running. Apparently some elderly couple got a new car with the keyless ignition and they just parked their new car the in the garage and left it running thinking that taking the key with them would shut it off. They died from CO2. Thus the double honk. You can disable in forscan easily.
