factory sil plate

Picked up my tremor today. Came early. Happy guy. Discovered the sil plate has a factory shing protector. I already ordered tufskinz which I prefer. Before I go about trying to get the factory ones off with maybe some heat and prying I though maybe members here have already done it and have some advice?

Honestly, I don't know what you're referring too. Sil plate? Like door sil?
