I did a search and found a few mentions on this subject, but not a general discussion.

My question is for those that have owned both the F250 with the FX4 and the F250 with a Tremor package...which was the better ride on the road? And if the F250 Tremor was a better ride, how much better?

Having owned a ‘19 F250 with FX4, and a ‘22 F250 6.7 Tremor on order, I’m trying to get a feel for the comparison on the road.

Thanks in advance.

The Tremor has mud tires, an F350 rear-end (stiffer), and gives up a sway bar for more off-road articulation.

The 250 FX4 has road tires, fewer leafs, and a sway bay (sfaik).

The FX4 should ride better.

+1

Tremor has larger diameter tires so, once aired down to a reasonable pressure for your load, you might get slightly better small bump compliance, but overall those other factors would way out is my guess. No first hand experience, though.

To do a true comparison, you would need to drive a Tremor/FX4 of the same year. My Tremor rides superior, compared to my '15 Super Duty FX4.

I’d add the Tremor has a thinner front sway bar that flexes more than a standard SD.

Also, while a standard SD has less aggressive tires, it may have 20“ wheels, which aren’t as compliant as 18s.

biggest difference is the softer shocks, and lack of rear sway bar. The tremor will have a smoother ride, but will lack payload capacity because of it.

I had a 2017 F250 6.7, FX4, I now have a 2021 F 250 Tremor. I run the factory Air, 65 frt 80 rear. Tremor steering response is quicker, ride is firmer but not jarring. I like the ride on the Tremor better, but what else would I say!!!

I traded a 2019 F250 6.7 with FX4, 20’s and a plow package for my 2021 F250 6.7 Tremor. Both trucks my daily drivers 7 days a week. In comparison, I think the Tremor ride is overall better and more compliant over the dreaded expansion joints, railroad tracks etc. I did feel a bit more wander in the Tremor steering, but I just resolved that with an adjustable Fox steering stabilizer. If I had to choose between the two, the Tremor would be my choice. Not that my 2019 was bad, but I am noticeably more comfortable daily driving in the Tremor. Good luck, you will love the new one!

My tremor is my first Super Duty ... and I put in the Fox ATS Steering stabilizer, Fox 2.0 shocks all around and 35 x1 2.5 x18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers ... and I can unequivocally say it runs much better than it did stock ... I love this truck!!

I think my F350 Tremor rides as good as my 2017 F250 FX4. Sure the Tremor has a stiffer rear but that isn't really noticeable until the overloads touch. On the other hand my 2017 F250 FX4 squatted bad with much of any load on the back, either on the hitch or in the bed. Towing my Toy Hauler it would bounce pretty good over most bumps.

My only complaint with the Tremor is the small sway bar, and maybe the tires; but now that i have 4,000 miles on the tires they are fine. Yes, this is the correct sway bar for an off-road truck that needs to articulate but for my use i would prefer the larger (standard) sway bar. Its not a big deal as the sway bar can be upgraded for a few hundred bucks. There is no way Ford can make an offroad/HD truck to 100% satisfy everyone's needs. This is why some chose to upgrade the suspension to a better off-road system and some upgrade other components to tow or run on the flat better. The Tremor is an excellent compromise and/or starting point for either.

On the stock wheels? Who put your tires on? Pics of your set up?

Here you go ... Madison Tire in Madison, NJ bought and mounted the Ridge Grappler tires ... they also installed the FOX 2.0 shocks at the same time. I wanted to keep the stock height ....
