Looking at getting a F-250 Tremor with the 7.3 Gas engine. I am also looking at getting a new 5th wheel in the less than 35 foot range and around the 10,000 GVWR range. Does anyone have this combo and if so is there any issues with the height of the truck bed and towing? Did you have to lift the trailer to be able to hook up and tow level or were you able to do it with out any alterations to the truck and or trailer?

It has some good discussion on Tremors and 5th wheels.

Although I have the 6.7, I believe the height is the same as the 7.3. I am a perfectionist when it comes to truck and trailer setups. To allow for 5-6" of bed clearance and a perfectly level setup I had to lift my 5th wheel 4 inches. If you have a newer 5th wheel (mine is a 2006) then you may get away with just adjusting the spring perch or flipping the axles since the newer models sit higher due to trucks getting higher bed rails.

I adjusted my hitch, kingpin, and the lift to get the setup I wanted.
