2021 f-250 lariat tremor. 6.7
So I am thinking about purchasing a new 5th wheel toy hauler. I know I am limited on what models because of weights etc. I am thinking momentum 320G from grand designs. Any other options or weight restrictions. I really want a fusion 373. But I thinks it’s too heavy!

I'm right there with ya. Love that Momentum 320G. Im torn because the dry pin weight, after passengers, does not leave much room for extra payload with my 6.7 F250. ...on paper. I know realistically we have an extra 500 lbs payload because the f250 and f350 tremors have the same suspension.
I found this 5th wheel Toy hauler, which seems to align to the trucks capability, on paper, better. But it dosent seem quite as nice as the momentum.
Ill have to check out that fusion!

The 373 Fuzion is insane! We almost went that route. If you’re worried about weight, look at the keystone Impact lineup. Lighter but same shit. I couldn’t find one available when we were looking. Look at the Keystone Impact 415!!
It really depends on how much garage space you need.

Check out the Stryker 3212 Travel Trailer Toy Hauler.

Its great that you all are looking at the capabilities with the truck payloads in mind. Not everyone does. Good rule of thumb is to buy the trailer you want then size the truck. I have a 14K gvwr 5er, towing with the 7.3l Tremor (3751lb payload). If i ever decide to go over 15k 5er, i will definitely pull it with a dually, which i am trying to avoid which is why i wanted to stay below 15K. For safety reasons, anything over 15K should not be pulled with a SRW. Just because it could, doesn't mean you should IMHO. The boss was already starting to look at heavier trailers until i told her we would have to trade in for a dually. That quickly halted the window shopping :). Love the Tremor too much.

Thanks for sharing. I was curious if there was a rule of thumb pertaining to weight or length of 5th wheel for determining when DRW should be used.

I have a 2017 grand design momentum toy hauler. I towed that with my 2019 3500 duramax SRW with a payload of 3517. My new truck is an F350 7.3 tremor with 3849 payload.
I wouldn’t dare tow anything bigger. I only tow it about 6 times a year and 5 of those trips are within 45 mins of my house.
we do one long trip a year and I always take my time and don’t exceed the speed limits.
If we did more trips and longer trips, I’d do a dually for sure.

I’ve got a momentum 350G, with a generator its 13k and some change unloaded. I’m right there with you on that being about the limit for these trucks. I was on the edge between that and the 381M, but I’m glad I went with the lighter choice. It tows well with a Hellwig sway bar and airbags, but I wouldn’t want to go much bigger without switching to a DRW.

We love our 350G, it’s a great floor plan and our weight sheet from the factory showing where they weighed it was really close to what they publish in the brochures. Adding the generator option adds about 200lbs to the hitch weight. Ours comes in right at 2800 on the hitch. Overall we’ve really enjoyed it so far, happy to answer any questions on it. I think the 320 is the same with just a slightly shorter garage.

Sorry. 350m
