I wanted to share this quote I recently got. It’s from a shop in the Vegas area. It’s on the higher end, but quality product. I hope it helps people looking for this info. I don’t have my truck yet, but hopefully soon! Sept 10 ETA.

Window Tint: Our XPEL PRIME is our industry leading window films with a 99.5% UV protection rating and a lifetime warranty. PRIME XR has a Nano-ceramic/IR layer which provides up to an 88% IR (Infrared) heat rejection and PRIME XR+ provides up to 98% heat rejection rating. All of our TINT comes with a lifetime warranty, for the life of your vehicle.

1. PRIME XR – This film offers 88% Infrared Heat rejection and is $189 +tax for the two fronts, $150 for Pano Sunroof and Windshield $349 +tax
2. PRIME XR PLUS - This is our top-of-the-line film offering with 98% Infrared Heat rejection and is $229 +tax for the two fronts, $200 for Pano Sunroof and Windshield 4349 +tax

Paint Protection Film (Clear Bra): Our ULTIMATE PLUS Paint Protection Film is a virtually invisible urethane layer that protects your vehicle’s paint from everyday damages including scuffs, scratches, chips, and more. Our ULTIMATE PLUS comes with a 10 year warranty.

1. “Partial Front” – This protection package will provide coverage for the complete front bumper, headlights, side view mirrors as well as the leading 12-24” of the hood and front fenders. This can be completed in approximately 1-2 days and the pricing is $1,295 – $1,495 +tax (depending on the bumper and how much paint vs chrome there is)
2. “Full Front” – This package offers the same protection as the Partial – including the bumper, headlights, side view mirrors but will also include coverage on the complete hood and front fenders. This application takes approximately 2-3 days and is $2,295 - $2,495 +tax (again, depending on the bumper and how much paint vs chrome there is)
3. Whole Truck – This protection package would provide paint protection film coverage on all the painted surfaces of the entire vehicle. Installation for an entire car takes approximately 7-10 business days and is $8,495 +tax.

Ceramic Coating: Our FUSION PLUS bonds at the molecular level to seal and protect surfaces from environmental contaminants, harmful UV rays, and insect acids. FUSION PLUS also provides resistance to light scratches and fading. Its hydrophobic properties repel dirt and liquids, making surfaces easier to clean. Our FUSION PLUS comes with a 4 year warranty.

1. FUSION Ceramic Coating – Exterior Package includes the paint correction (stage 1) required prior to coating the vehicle and then application of the ceramic coating over the entire painted body, plastic and trim, glass and wheel faces. This can be completed in approximately 2-3 days and is $2,995 +tax

Thank you for posting this. I’m planning to do the whole truck in PPF and was wondering how much it was going to sting.

My current F-150 is “just” ceramic coated while my other car is completely wrapped in PPF with ceramic coating on top and it’s a huge difference.

I recommend doing the ceramic coating yourself, its easy to do and will save a you a ton of money. If you are getting PPF and ceramic done at the same place then chances are they will not correct the panels that are getting film installed. Film hides light micro marring, so there is no need to correct those panels. Ceramic coatings are flat out a rip off, stupid high profit margins.

What is the name of the guy who gave you the quote in Vegas?

I know a guy out there who is the top guy, He will hook you up.
big car guy and will do an amazing job. Probably will be the same price. I am hoping this is the guy who quoted you. He is a ceramic coater won't do the windows or films but the shop does.

I don't recommend you self ceramic. There is a learning curve as the products react and "flash" at different temps and times. Its a great way to ruin your finish. don't learn on a 70k plus truck. If you want to do your one, go to the bone yard get some trashed hoods and practice on them.
I like the films a lot lots of options for combinations of film protection and ceramic. The quality products are expensive and yes they are in business to make money.

Name of the guy that gave me the quote is Estee. He works for Expel Las Vegas.

As for doing ceramic myself, I think I could do it myself because I would research the crap out of it. I am a do it yourselfer, but I just don’t have the time or willingness to do it anymore. This is the first Brand new truck I have ever bought and I went “All In”! I definitely don’t want to mess anything up. I feel like I will just work some overtime at work and pay someone to do what they do best, and I will go to work and do what I do best. It’s a win win for everyone.

The expel prime xr plus has a blueish tint compared to the rear and back glass dye. Due to the high level of ceramic in the tint. That's why I went with the prime xr so it would match and with full windshield tint it didn't mess with my polarized sunglasses.
Thanks Sccritterkiller,
That’s some good info 👍🏼

If you Film the dyed glass would it even out?

You should be golden! and I ever doubted you could not do yourself but it takes lots of research and some practice.

Thanks, I have an appt next week and not sure to “+” or not (front back and rear)View attachment 31718
Good looking truck! Your tint shop should have some clear sample cards. My place straight told me + would look blueish and then took sample out to my truck and compare.

You need to tuck that hook strap in...1st time you get mud on it and then go down the road it will be flapping around it and it will scratch you bumper...trust me I have bald spot one of my red shackles on my Jeep. ;)

I'd just have the truck repainted in 10 years, this PPF pricing is ridiculous.

I never took it that way. I think it is good advice to tell someone not to do it themselves. I know people do it, but I think a lot of them use the spray on kind that doesn’t have the crucial timing and flash point.
