Engine block heater

Why? According to many you'll be enjoying palm trees in your front yard soon. On the other hand I have palm trees a few doors away but I ordered one for mine - if the Zombie Apocalypse occurs in January I still plan on bugging out to Wyoming.

Does anyone have the oem part numbers for the block heater and the cord? The dealer fudged up my order and it was not added -_-

I ordered the block heater but now i’m also convinced to get the diesel cab heater option too. At first i figured i didn’t need it with remote start and all, but what if you’re somewhere where you can’t remote start ahead. Anyways for extra 250$ it makes sense to get it.

Get both. I don’t live somewhere remarkably cold but it’s good to have on a huge engine gas or diesel. Reduced wear on startup up to temp slightly quicker easier starting etc. I personally have a 7.3 but I got a block heater on that if I had a diesel I would definitely have it. A friends got the 6.7 with rapid heat and man what a feature. Wish I could get it with the gas engine it’s that nice… I am a northern tier dweller for what it’s worth.
@5inches i thought mine wasn’t installed either but the cord for it was just tucked away where I didn’t look up behind the bumper clipped to a frame rail. I felt like a real moron when the tech showed me where it was attached after they installed the winch. 🤦‍♂️

Don't know how your block heater cable was run, but worth taking a look to make sure it isn't vulnerable like mine was. Check out my post where I described moving it. It was run about as low as the air dam.

And here's a picture of how mine was run (from that post). Don't mind the plug hanging down. I was part way into installing the Noco block heater. The end of it was also tucked away like you described.

No I mean it was not added to the build at all! I re checked the build sheet, the one that I built with the sales person has it but the build sheet that the actual order was made from does not have it on there..

Looks like 6a051 for the heater. And 6b018 for the cord but the dealer should be able to order them for you and get the right ones.
Thanks, I believe I found them. I will absolutely not be buying them through my dealer. They are marking them up like 40% and not even willing to help me out even though the guy who puts the codes in for the orders left it out of my order.

Absolutely yes on supplemental heat, game changer in cab climate timing. Otherwise your >10 minute wait for heat.
