I'm looking for ideas on enclosed trailers for side by sides. I have a 2022 Can Am Defender Max Limited coming and i am looking for ideas. If you have a tall sxs inside a enclosed trailer i would love to see pictures and trailer details.

I am looking for maximum height. I am putting tracks on my Defender.

You'll need a 7ft wide 7ft tall at least to get it in. I intentionally bought a 7x16/w 7ft walls so I could put a 4 seater SxS in it eventually once I give up the dirt bikes.

Trailers are so hard to get right now its crazy. I spoke to a dealer about 2 weeks ago and if i order now they are told delivery is next summer. I thought my tremor was tough to get. Trailers are nuts.

I designed, and had this Trailer built to haul my Polaris General behind our Lance Camper. 16'x 8.5' & 7' tall. 100% aluminum. Screwless exterior, Insulated, Spare tire in the floor, Electric Ramp and Jacks, Torsion Suspension, Goodyear Endurance Tires, Solar, 30 amp Service, Built in Air Compressor, Tank & Pressure Washer, Folding Steps, Back-up Camera worked with the trucks Camera 360* system. All kinds of cool stuff.
I designed the Tongue so we could use it as a platform for getting in and out of the Camper while we were hooked up. It's a beautiful trailer.

Holy crap that thing is awesome!! Was it much $ more than ordering a regular enclosed trailer with a height option?

I always figured custom would be huge $

I would go 8.5' wide. I currently have a 7x20 plus a 5' v nose that's 7' inside height. Its tight getting out of the machine. (Honda Talon x4) The 7.5' wide doesn't really gain you much room because the wheel wells are inside. Also remember you lose some height from the spring on the rear door. Go a little longer than you need so you can get the machine positioned for the best tongue weight. I've got an open place 7x12 that I use if I'm riding local, but the tongue is a little light with the machine on since I cannot move it closer to the front of the trailer

I got my current trailer used for a great price before covid hit and it works great for 3 snowmobiles in the winter. If I was buying new, I'd go 8.5 x 16 and get a dove tail in the back to cut down on height

I'm looking at going 24 or 26ft not including the V nose. I also want to get 4 long track 154 lenght sleds in there for our rides in Quebec. I am leaning towards a 8.5 x 26. The height is an issue. Everything needs to be ordered now. No dealer inventory to even look at units.

That is top shelf all the way!! WOW!!

I’ve had a Wells Cargo, 7x14, since ‘05 and origit it for hauling our 3 Honda XR’s for the kids, a Honda Quad for my wife and my 650L. I also put in a workbench and storage across the front (inside) and had Line-X put in and up 6” all around the inside.
It served its purpose very well! After the kids grew out of the XR’s, I held onto it and used it on long trips behind our motorhome. These days, it gets loaned out to friends and family for moving or camping trips. I’m glad I never sold it. I paid $3,500 OTD for it (plus $1,000 for the upgrades) and I’ve had recent cash offers for it up to $6,000!!
Everyone thats made offers have complained that new ones are $7-9K!! and (like mentioned) a six to eight month wait! Crazy!

Enjoy your new hauler! You have every reason to be very proud of that one! 👍

I looked at a few brands. ATC & Intech mostly. They had a lot of glitz and glimmer. To much look-at-me for my taste. Custom built isn't like anything you'll find on a lot. I knew exactly what I wanted and the quality had to be there. The company I had build it only builds one at a time, customer ordered trailers. It was almost a year wait back in 18'. I supplied a few things, Cameras, Inverters, Solar, Batteries, Tires, Tool Boxes, OBA & Pressure Washer. Like anything custom, it cost what it cost.

My trailer is a mission brand made by Alcom in Maine. It's a 2017 that I picked up last year. The alum welds top notch and I haven't had any issues with construction. If I was going to order one, it would be proline from NH. a couple buddies have them and they are top of the line and fully customizable I believe their website is nhtrailersdotcom

I had a similar situation as OP when I bought my Ariel. I wanted a trailer so I started with a flatbed which wasn't going to work due to the car's low profile and long nose. So then I looked at enclosed trailers which were perfect but good God are they insanely priced. Then I found an older but barely used 20ft toy hauler that had 3 beds, a bathroom, a microwave, oven, cook top, sink, shade, etc...and it was still cheaper than a used enclosed trailer. We took it camping occasionally and it was fantastic at the track since I could shade the car and hang out with the AC on and full fridge.
