So far I've had it to the dealer three times and no fix. I've personally replaced the catch and tightened the hinge bolts. This noise is driving me crazy. It's worse than my moonroof and squeaky center console. Anyone have any solutions? Thanks!

@BroncOh had two rivets floating around in the bottom of his door. Maybe get a scope for your phone and take a look. (The scopes are cheap on Amazon.) The door panel removes fairly easily, and you can find videos online to lead you through that.

Same issue with my truck. There’s a thread dating back to 2022 where many share their experiences and it’s described as a typewriter like sound. I posted a video with exact same sound/rattle as did others. Mine has actually subsided quite a bit but is largely temperature dependent. I believe the latest remedy was using a tool to put some strategically placed creases on the lower inside portion of the door. Here’s a link to the thread: Driver door rattle .

Thanks. I had the door apart and do t see any rivits. Sounds like it's the hinges. I'm struggling with putting a few dents in the door to "strengthen" the area around the hinges. It sure is annoying....

First off, if you search around the ford forums and on YouTube this problem has plagued quite a few folks. I was the one who made the posts in the other thread about making the dents near the lower hinge. I spent 6 months tearing my door apart about 10 times, adjusting the striker and any other methods with no luck. I was going absolutely insane listening to the same noise you are.

I can 100% confirm the noise is created by the lower door flexing around the hinge creating a “soda can” effect. After making those dents, it’s been noise free for many, many miles. Feel free to DM me and I’d be happy to talk over the phone if it could help save your sanity!

Do you have some good pics. I saw your thread in the forums and wasn't quite sure where you put them. I agree with you on the noise. Thanks for the help!

If you zoom in on the photos I posted in the other thread, there are actually red arrows I added to the photos showing the exact spots I put dents. The arrows are very faint, and you probably have to zoom in to see them.
