Drive Thru Redwood Trees and Tremors

Just in case you were curious... No, a Tremor won't fit.

Maybe I just chickened out but the mirrors are what looked like they wouldn't fit. the running boards had about an inch on one side and a half and inch on the other.

Interesting that it looks like they cut the tunnel up higher at a later date if you compare it to the Tour Thru Tree sign. I wonder what purpose that was for. Forest Service truck?

A great shot to tell the lie would have been a side shot shown backed in farther to the mirrors so the rear was sticking out more. We did that but there was no way to get out of the truck. That's the picture I really wanted.

There are three left in the Coastal parks. I asked the gate attendant at the first tree how big the hole was. She looked at the truck and said, "Not that big." That one definitely would have been too short. We didn't stop at the third.

There are a number of different "drive thru" trees in northern California to my knowledge

They also told me back in the day that Dodge trucks don't fit. I asked if I could try, sure enough...it made it through! lol I thought I was gonna lose a mirror half way in but ended up coming out with just a few scuffs.

Too funny! We're heading to the Redwoods in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if I should risk any of the drive-thru trees!
Even after your post and pics, I'm still leary!?. LOL
