Pickup day from dealer Aug 26, 2022 after waiting 9.5 months from order. Only to learn that Ford was awesome enough to delete my MCS and only give me a $300 credit. If I had known this would have been an issue and it is not possible to add later, I would have gone with the Lariat and a blackout package. Why? Because Ford in their infinite wisdom will not do a blackout package on Platinums.....WTF Ford? And the better half wanted the Platinum with MCS - which we now don't have. But I still love the truck and will figure out a way to get the MCS back at some point.

Sep 23, bye bye chrome mirror caps and power stroke badging. Hello blackout goodness.

Replacing the mirror caps is not too bad. There are several videos that show diff approaches (ARod, Colt). I found that leaving the mirror on the truck was easy enough for me. Steps I did:

  1. Remove the bottom then top mirror by prying them out and then detaching the BLISS cables and mirror heaters.
  2. Remove the 5 7mm screws from the front of the mirror
  3. Remove the motor housing T25 screws (might not be necessary but made it easier)
  4. Unclip the top 3 mirror cap clips
  5. Remove the front part of mirror assembly
  6. Remove the back part of the mirror assembly
  7. Unclip the bottom of the mirror cap that everyone breaks
  8. Replace the ugly chrome mirror cap with black cap
  9. Reverse the above process to reinstall mirror
  10. Make sure wires are plugged in the right way
  11. Win

I like the format of your list, it looks awfully familiar 🍻

Also got the scuff guards on the same day so installed those. These are from V1-cuts and are great. Easy to install - though I will say if you install these wear gloves. Otherwise you won't be able to use your fingerprints for logging into anything for a few days.

Not sure I love what I am calling the stealth black tremor logo. It is really hard to see unless the light is just right. So I may try it out in a different color -maybe dark gray or metallic silver? And yes I created the vector from a design I saw on Etsy. I have a DIY sickness but I am ok with that.

Finally got around to adding my flags. Went through several diff versions and colors till I found the ones I liked. The Texas flag had a big crease in it but the seller sent me a new one and now all is well:

Still have to paint the 250 numbers though...

I used plasti-dip for mine. They are still on there. Did mine earlier this year. Holding up strong so far.

Decided I did not like the tremor stealth decals on the side so took those off and replaced them with simple blackout Tremor logos.

Ceramic coated the entire truck - inside and out. Dripping Auto Pros did a fantastic job. They used Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra. It is a 9 year coating. Looks better than showroom, but even better than the looks is the ease of keeping it clean.
