My Tremor should arrive in a week and I’ve also picked out a Grand Design 278BH (reflection 150 series) 5th wheel trailer for camping. I’ve seen some people say it won’t tow level and isn’t meant to be towed with an F350. Does anyone have actual experience with this? From everything I’ve seen it should be fine but wondering before I pull the trigger on the trailer

thanks!

I have researched that exact series....you can tow em legal with a 250 Tremor....and very easily with headroom in a 350 as long as your gvwr isn't derated!! From others...who do have 5th wheels it wont sag to much....but most guys add Sumo Springs or Air Bags just as an added measure.......not expensive and pretty simple to install......

I tow a Grand Design 311BHS 13,500k 5er with my F350 7.3L Tremor all over out west. No issues but the gas mileage could be better. I did add airbags which rides smoother.

Ok that’s good know. What I had heard was the F350 (tremor or not) was too tall for the GD 150 series. Seems like it would be unlikely that they designed a 5er that wasn’t supposed to be towed by a F350. I’ll look into how tall the bed is plus the hitch height

I currently have a Grand Design 260RD that I tow with an F150. Should have an F350 Tremor to replace it in the next month. Great brand of RV.
Dude I TOTALLY agree with you....That is the one I want!...perfect floor plan

I have a 2015 Open Range Light 319rls 1/2 ton series that I pulled with my 2016 F250 lariat fx4 crew sb that was leveled, the trailer sat close to level when hooked up, I am still waiting to get the B&W turnover ball hitch in the new Tremor along with the PMF 1-1/2’ block to lover the rear leveling the truck, also adding airlift 5000 bags and ez compressor. I will let you know how mine works out this time next week! Hope this helps some!

What 5th wheel hitch are you using with the Ford puck system? Are you using a slide hitch? Thanks

What fifth wheel hitch are you guys using with the Ford puck system? I am assuming most are using a slide hitch as well. I have a grand reflection 278bh ordered as well. Thanks

I have a 2020 Grand Design 350G that I tow. I sold my 2008 F350 KR with 6' 9" bed that I leveled and ran 35 x 12.50 R20 tires and Bilstein shocks to get my 2021 F350 Tremor. I previously had the Demco Recon with above bed rails (This is was a great hitch that gave me no problems, just not made for the Puck System). I bought a Andersen Ultimate Fifth Wheel Hitch and Andersen Bed Shaft for OEM Puck System for the new Tremor. The Hitch should be here this week, once it is, I can post pictures of the truck and trailer. Neither of these are sliding hitches, but I didn't really need it. The Andersen is suppose to give me more room and clearance between the cab and the front of the trailer. These new trailers with the rounded front cap allow for most trucks to tow without the need for a sliding hitch.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info.
