I decided on the DB HD, smooth with pre installed cleats. Looking forward to accessorize the rear flip up panel. Seen a video on utube where a guy also installed e track on the top side, looked good. Ah the options.

I ordered the smooth HD with the cleats and the HD cab guard the end of July. They are kind of local so I’m picking it up and having them install it next week.

I ordered mine without the cleats installed and then added aircraft L track. This allowed me to install a canoe rack or tie downs when needed, but take them off when not needed. I really like the DB HD.

Has anyone seen or purchased the Renegade bed cover? They look pretty competitive, but a higher price, and I wonder how stable the L channel really is?

Got the cover installed today and I’m liking it but it’ll take a couple weeks to know for sure. My dad took it up for me since I’m working and I only had a minute to grab a photo before I had to leave for work.

Also Renegade does not offer a veteran discount. Instead they throw in the torsion bar to allow easier opening. I’ll be going with diamondback.

Update, Diamond Back HD arrived today, not to bad on shipping times, like 2 weeks!

IMO renegade @ $3k isn't worth it. I read on other forums (Tundra) that they are not very responsive and shipping/production time is very slow - in their defense they are a smaller company, but I expect more from a company selling a $3k tonneau cover after shipping.

That’s what I did about a year ago. I have a RSI Smartcap Evo on order now so the diamondback and possibly racks will be for sale in October/November.
