Reading this forum has sure opened my eyes to how many things are called a "camper" depending on the person. The term seems so overloaded! So I'm curious, what do y'all call these things? My answers will be at the bottom.

I just took it as a geographical thing like soda vs pop.
And don't forget Coke! There's folks who use "Coke" to refer to all pop, which boggles my mind. :ROFLMAO:
Definitions seem to regional in nature.
Agreed with both of you that it's likely regional. For context I grew up in BC, Canada so that's where I learned the terms I use.

All of the above are campers. It’s a qualifier/prefix/suffix.

1. camper trailer
2. truck camper
3. camper shell

Or just a catch-all term for the slipshod.
This is extremely logical. I like it!

I was wondering what side of the soda/pop border you were on up there.

1. travel trailer
2. truck camper
3. canopy, 60+ only ;)

The one that bugs me is when people refer to a motorhome only as an RV, IMO they're all RV's other than the canopy.

Also, this is a fun thread - I love this group.

Not being too serious:
1. The big bucks.
2. Slightly smaller big bucks.
3. The "medium" bucks.
4. The DREAM overland setup "The biggest bucks yet (To me. It is the one I would pay the most for)" and "Big bucks that I would be willing to spend".

Ok, now I will be somewhat serious:
1. A stick and tin TT.
2. A stick and tin truck camper.
3. A caper shell that won't fit my truck.
4. This is all I would be able to say about it: "Dang I'm really freaking jealous of that freaking sweet setup".

And now for the completely serious version:
1. A travel trailer.
2. Truck camper.
3. Camper shell.
4. Ultimate overland setup. I could and would live in that.

Oh and by the way if you couldn't tell number 4 is Vigilance247s setup.

**Cab-Over CAMPER ... RV that sets inside the bed of a Pickup with sleeping quarters over the Cab of the Pickup.

A Pickup with a CabOver Camper is generally referred to a Truck and Camper.
As far as I know, A CAMPER is someone who Camps.
A Glamper, or Glamping is someone that Camps in a Glamorous-Comfortable RV.
