Back in the spring, I called a bunch of dealers and priced out the truck I wanted. Ended up ordering one from Bozeman Ford. Got an email and a few calls last week from a local dealer that my truck is here. Seems he ordered it with the hopes I'd buy it.

Meanwhile I changed/added a few things and will wait out the truck I ordered, but starting to think I shoulda just ordered 5-6 trucks and taken the first one that showed. HA!

What is your price???? They are going for a premium these days maybe you can flip it? or do what the Ferrari owners do. They sell the rights to purchase it.

Not trying to be a "dick" but the market is the market and you had the fore site to make decisions.

Unfortunately with azx pricing plans you must take possession for I think 6 months or so before Ford says you can sell the vehicle again.

The OP didn't say that he had signed anything or paid a deposit so how is he obligated to take possession?

I also fail to see why Ford would care if he flipped it and I am sure Shrike9 is right that there's nothing Ford could do to stop him.

No worries some lucky guy will get that truck.

Was it a white 6.7 tremor? Should of read more carefully, I just ordered one from bozo Ford, while I was there the salesman said one just came in and the guy won't return calls so it was going on the lot in a day or so.

I have a ‘21 Tremor retail order purchased on X-Plan. Absolutely no requirement to hold it a certain period before reselling.

  • Titling eligibility is as follows:
    • Vehicles must be retained in the customer's possession and registered as provided above for at least six months from the date of purchase or lease.

Ok, how is this enforced, how does Ford know what you are doing with the vehicle after the sale???

I have no idea how they can enforce it but it's what you agree too when you use axz plan pricing

It states the only enforcement mechanism is, if discovered, being barred from the program. Again, absolutely no requirement to hold it six months.

You agreed to the X-plan terms, it is absolutely a requirement of the X-plan. Whether there is a direct consequence to you not honoring what you agreed to is a different matter altogether. However, this is how good deals tend to go away…when they are abused.

No. First, it was not part of the program’s terms in April when I purchased the vehicle—just as the 90 day membership seasoning requirement was not in place at MCA when I joined and got my pin in February. Check the effective date of the policy you cited. Second, I doubt very seriously Ford is asking anyone to sign anything binding at closing that specifies the vehicle may not be transferred for six months even now that they have changed the stated terms of participation. I certainly did not sign anything indicating such, and that would be a condition of any real enforcement in this instance. Lastly, and most importantly, their only recourse is to bar you from the program in the future—something they can already do at their whim. Again, I am free to sell the vehicle as I have indicated. So is everyone else. Stop giving people the mistaken impression they cannot dispose of their vehicles as they see fit.

Actually the 90 day membership has been in place for years

And once again just cuz you can’t be bothered to read the small print, so has the no resale clause

You need to pay closer attention as you agreed to both the 90 day membership prior to purchasing and you agreed to not sell the vehicle for 60 days

It boils down to your integrity & if your man enough to follow their with what you agreed to

It has been part of the AXZD agreement since at least 2017. But clearly our ethics are different as all you appear to be concerned about is what Ford can/cannot do to you if you choose to not uphold your end of the agreement.
